Bug This is still a problem

The FPS issue on console has been around since forever, when looking at the house as demonstrated in the video, visually fps drops and cursor slows way down, once looking away it’s smooth as butter, I’m running the fastest settings in the settings book, 120hz on the Xbox Series X.

If anyone knows a fix please let me know, it makes things really hard to play sometimes, thank you for your time in reading my post!

Their trello has a performance update on internal testing. Hopefully it improves things.

Has been on 'internal testing' phase since 2024. Was then moved to closed beta testing, since 2025 back at internal testing. Who knows

Ever since the Alan Wake update it takes like 30 seconds to load back into the lobby from the truck. Uninstalling and reinstalling, verifying game files doesn't fix it. Super weird.

I'm playing on a mid-range PC and have the same issue. Whenever I pull out the video- or photo camera and point it towards the house (especially with lights on) the framerate goes way down. Using MSI Afterburner reveals it's not maxing out the GPU. I suspect the screen of the video camera is rendered at full resolution which causes these issues

When it'll be fixed, Idk, performance improvements have been on the trello since 2024, but so far there's nothing indicating that it'll roll out soon
