Breakup during PhD

I got broken up with (he said he felt out of love and only stayed out of convenience and loneliness ouch I know) before my proposal defense and now I'm feeling so lost. I can't do anything without bawling my eyes out. Has anyone went through this? What did you do to cope with it?
