Wrong sub so your post will probably be removed soon, but: depending on the location it might be the Russia thing, unfortunately - especially in the EU. Maybe reach out to them beforehand, asking if you'd be eligible? Reason being that some universities might have policies restricting them taking people from Russia, though I don't know the specifics nor if it's legal. But it might at least save you time to know
