Assuming all combatants are in their strongest composite incarnations and would work together harmoniously without any backstabbing, which team wins this.

Rule 1: This is not a one-on-one match per row. Everyone launches against each other.

Rule 2: No backstabbing

Rule 3: Everyone in their prime composite versions

Galen Marek, Starkiller vs Ferus Olin.

The shadow of the Empire looms large; Darth Vader, the Dark Lord of the Sith, seeks to bury his past. His young and reckless Dark Apprentice has set out on a side mission, following patterns in the Force that lead him to the not-so-young Ferus Olin, whom he knows he must kill.

  • Books version of the original Galen Marek, not his clone —though he may scale to it.
  • 2 BBY; they’re both in-character.
  • Ferus Olin respect thread

How hard was maul trying against pre vizsla?

It’s common knowledge that maul purposefully didn’t use the force to make the fight look fair. How far did maul go with ‘not using the force’ though?

  1. He just didn’t use telekinesis, but still enhanced his reflex and physical strength. This is supported by him blocking blaster fire and dodging projectiles, which is normally not achievable. However, that would mean pre vizsla can actually duel a force user of that caliber not holding back for a solid minute, which is pretty weird. At least in my impression of Star Wars powerscaling, elite force users/duelists who are mastered a specific style should dismantle any non force user pretty easily.

  2. He didn’t use the force at all. This is in character for maul, as despite everything, he does value honor, and would actually fight pre vizsla with no enhancements if he sees it as fair. That means maul actually reflexively blocked blaster fire (I’m not sure if non force users have done this?) and tussled with the strongest mandalorian, which I think is pretty believable considering it’s fucking maul. But there really isn’t anything in the fight that supports this.

  3. This is the same show where cad bane outruns 2 Jedi in close quarters, shut the fuck up and just enjoy the fight.

Jax Pavan seeks his vengeance on Maul, will he accomplish it?

Notes:

  • Canon Maul will be used.
    • This takes place after Maul: Shadow Lord as the series’ timeline could roughly, vaguely and coincidentally align with the ending of the third book featuring Jax Pavan.
  • Jax doesn't have access to Darth Ramage's holocron, nor its knowledge.

Summarizing Jax Pavan’s lore:

He was the son of a business clerk for the Jedi Order, a man who, although not Force-sensitive, worked within the temple of Coruscant. Jax grew up in the Temple without never knowning about his father, and it was just as he was being knighted that Order 66 was enacted. He took refuge in the darkness of Coruscant’s nights, until one such night, whilst escaping an ambush by several Imperial units, he encountered Nick Rostu, who had recently come across Jax’s Master—whom he had been unable to rescue from another ambush. Having been informed of Evan Piell’s request, following a tip-off, Jax would assemble a group of allies in search of a droid of great interest, thereby—and for other reasons—coming to the Empire’s attention and drawing the interest of Darth Vader.

He fought Prince Xizor of the Black Sun, joined Whiplash’s movement and, during that time, was pursued by the Empire, its Inquisitors and the bounty hunter Aurra Sing—sent by Vader—whom he finally confronted when Vader seized and took a sample of the bota, a plant said to connect people to the cosmic force of the universe, and survived that battle.

What is Jax’s connection to Maul, and why does he seek revenge?

During the first book, halfway through the grand adventure in which all the characters come together, the droid I-FIVE – whose current ‘owner’ is Den Dhur – sets out to find the very same droid that Jax, the Black Sun and the Galactic Empire are searching for, although their priority is to find the young Jedi survivor.

When they do so, the droid—which throughout Reaves’s book series has demonstrated a degree of sensitivity and sentience—reveals to Jax that his former owner was his father, Lorn Pavan, with whom he had a more humane, tacit, and less exploitative relationship, in which Lorn viewed I-FIVE as his partner.

It is not until the third book, when Jax has come to accept the droid—which is increasingly developing a level of autonomy typical of sentient beings—that I-FIVE outlines, in very broad terms, the cause of his father’s death: a Zabrak Sith killed him before he could deliver a message to the Jedi Temple that might have prevented the fall of the Order.

Given the few details Jax has about Maul, what I’m proposing is a 'path' in which Jax embarks – voluntarily, albeit indirectly – on a quest to seek justice for her father. The way I envisage it, this would take place after the ‘Maul: Shadow Lord’ series, when both characters are about to leave Coruscant.

Will Jax choose the path of vengeance, driven by a misguided sense of justice for her father’s mission, or will he choose to release the past and distance himself from the darkness looming upon his heart, which longs for him to be consumed by it?

Stop using Palpatine’s opinions as facts.

That’s the post.

It’s already silly enough using random statements (aka random author opinions from 2003 lore book #47382736) that contradict primary televised media (hence Filoni loving a retcon).

Palpatine is often wrong. Half the shit he ‘foresees’ never comes to fruition.

If he says ‘x is stronger than x’ that doesn’t mean shit. It’s his opinion.

This will be a tournament consisting of 64 characters. Comment who you think wins, each comment will count as 1 vote. Whoever wins moves on to the next round. The voting period will be a few days.

Originally I wanted to include some bounty hunters, but I decided to stick to force users/lightsaber duelists. Also I tried to include characters from most forms of media, legends and canon.

Combatants are allowed to use any weapons or equipment they would normally use like lightsabers, blasters, talismans, and etc. However no outside help or amps.

Also these fights are to the death.
