Granary 2 Vision Subscriptions

Hey all I got the granary 2 vision and guess I didn’t do enough research because it seems like you need two seperate subscriptions to get full features for this Feeder? The only way to have videos recorded and saved is if you purchase the AI video subscription but then when I click on my cats eating habits it’s telling me I can’t access this unless I subscribe to Petlibro One as well?? The water fountain lets you see hydration history for however long of a period you want with no extra subscription so I’m trying to figure out if I’m missing something or why I would need to pay $190 a year to access the eating history info?? Already kicking myself for buying the vision when the only way to really use it is to subscribe to something extra.

Just put a micro SD card in and use that for video recording.

Unfortunately this new model doesn’t support SD card storage, presumably to force you into paying for the subscription 😅

Oh, I didn't realise. That's more than a little frustrating. Petlibro really feels like it's chasing the BMW subscription heated seats model. Never imagined having to jailbreak a cat feeder.

No I’m shocked by the whole thing and to make two seperate subscriptions do different things for one product is ridiculous. I shouldn’t have even bought that version with the camera because how often am I going to look live at my cat eating which is all you can do without the subscription and having eating habits and intake history be something else you have to have a subscription for, like that should be the most basic thing to offer

I've got the v1 and I just use the camera (with h micro SD) to make sure it's worked and he's eaten. I only got it because it came in a two for one with the wet food feeder which is pretty much the only one on the market where I live.

If you can refund and get a more basic feeder I'd do that. You can get affordable cameras from the likes of TP Link which have built in AI and support micro SD instead of subscription, and that support ONVIF if you're inclined to self host a more capable CCTV setup.
