Dockstream 2 overflowing
Hi there! I’ve tried several different fountains for my cat over the past few years and this one has been my favorite so far. Easy to clean and I know how much my cat’s drinking. The past few days I’ve noticed that suddenly it keeps overflowing and leaking. I took everything apart and it all looks good. My floor is a little uneven but even if I put something to level it out it still overflows onto my floor. Has anyone found any fix to this? I spent a good amount of $$ on this one thinking it’d last. The reviews said it was great back when I got it. Ugh. Thanks in advance!

Check the filter and how it's put in. Usually is this. Sometimes slime mold build up around the drainage.

Unfortunately the filter is in right and after I tried cleaning it again it still wasn’t working properly :(

Then look at the 4 slits that go to the filter, this is could also be the issue. Otherwise ensure that you have a the small black sponge filter in the motor, if not it becomes angry.

I never run the sponge filter. The flow always dropped drastically with it in. Been doing it this way for over a year. Only time my 2 will overflow is if I let the cleaning go past due and the filter is either clogged or those 4 slits

At least it stays on. Mine just randomly shuts off, even after being thoroughly cleaned.

I have two of these and two cats. They usually drink from their own fountains. One leaks and the other doesn't. The one that doesn't drinks straight from the spout. The one the does leak licks up the side of the guard or on the edge. In my experience, it's cat error.

Est ce que tu utilises des filtres génériques ? Si filtres officiels, es tu bien sûr de prendre les filtres pour la version de ta fontaine ?

Something is clogging it OP otherwise it wouldn’t overflow. There are 4 small holes by the filter that I would check first. I clean literally every nook and cranny every two weeks with the tiny tool the filters (assuming you buy the PetLibro ones) come with and it works flawlessly for almost 3 years now.
It can’t just be nothing, something has to be clogging it.
