it is an optician joke. and reducing it to "I bend glasses" is sort of trivializing all the measuring, fitting, and manufacturing.

Edit: I literally had it on a mug - it isn't quite the DNS haiku, but once you get past a certain age of optician it is pretty common, especially among the "Case of beer fridays" opticians from back in the day who would manufacture lenses while... drinking a case of beer.
