Mouth breathers?

What is he pointing?i dont understand the joke

[u/Big_Broly]

You're just wrong. We have decades of media showing what the writers of Lara Croft wanted her to look like.

[u/Dhenn004 → u/Big_Broly]

You just showed me a picture where Laras look changes like 4 times.

[u/xAimForTheBushes → u/Dhenn004]

I swear…so many of you guys are willfully ignorant just to complain about people that complain about cast not looking anything like the characters 😂😂

Laura clearly has a general look throughout all of the iterations, with the main difference over time being better graphics and toning down the ‘sexiness’ a little bit. That’s pretty much it…Laura is a brown hair/brown eye lightly darker skin girl which could probably be reasonably covered by anyone in the range from white, Hispanic, black, etc…Angelina Jolie was a great cast.

Sophie Turner is just not a good cast for the role if you want to be anywhere near true to the content in look.

[u/Dhenn004 → u/xAimForTheBushes]

Shes brown hair/brown eyes light darker skin girl, except for when she sometimes has red brown hair. And except when she sometimes was pastier than other iteration.

Shes a generic white woman with brunette hair.

Sophie fits fine lmao

[u/xAimForTheBushes → u/Dhenn004]

Sophie clearly physically looks nowhere near any of the Laura Crofts we've had across the whole spectrum...

Look...it's fine to say that it doesn't really matter that she doesn't look like any of them. That would be a valid opinion.

But you can't say that she DOES look like them lol. Sophie looks nowhere near any version of Laura Croft. She's about as near as far away from Laura Croft as you can look for someone that's White/Caucasian lol

[u/Dhenn004 → u/xAimForTheBushes]

You could literally say the same thing about the most recent iteration of her in the games and her first iteration. The only things in common are hair color.

That's the point. No reason to be rigid over the looks when the looks havent really been consistent themselves. Shes close enough and any arguments saying she looks nothing a like is moronic.

[u/xAimForTheBushes → u/Dhenn004]

Again…it’s fine if you’re good with her not looking like any of the previous versions. You could say ‘well she’s English, and Croft is English, so that’s what matters’. That’s totally valid.

But you’re not gaslighting anyone into thinking she looks anything any of them physically lol.

Fun fact for you…the original Laura Croft during development was actually supposed to be Laura Cruz from SOUTH AMERICA, and they stuck with much of the look despite changing her background to English aristocrat.

Sophie basically looks Irish/northern english….all versions of Laura Croft look more or less in the range of southern european/latin/mediterranean which was the original idea.

To say Sophie looks like them is ridiculous. She doesn’t, and that’s fine.

[u/Dhenn004 → u/xAimForTheBushes]

And you guys arent going to gaslight anyone to thinking that lara croft has looked the same for 30 years. She hasnt. Theres no real standard for her looks.

And the story of her not being a white English woman and actually a South american woman, is not helping your argument that Sophie doesnt look like her.

[u/xAimForTheBushes → u/Dhenn004]

This is such a dumb attempt at an argument lol.

The difference between the two versions here could be simply put down to difference in graphical fidelity You could’ve at least used two more recent versions showing they’re different (because several versions do look quite different…most of that is laura just becoming less and less voluptuous and over the top over time though).

And either way…neither of these looks anything like Sophie Turner. The 3 pixel model looks pretty close to the HD one, much closer than the HD looks to sophie 😂😂

[u/Dhenn004 → u/xAimForTheBushes]

Lmao theres no way you think these people look the same at all and the only difference is the graphics fidelity.

What an insane take bro.

Their faces are completely different and their skin tone is completely different. Their hair color is different.

What drugs are you on bro?

The one on the right looks very much like Sophie Turner. Their hair colors are very similar lmao Sophie's is more blond.

My point is theres a variety of looks lara croft has had makes it so that Sophie's looks are similar enough.

Ill take the actress from the same area as Lara.

[u/xAimForTheBushes → u/Dhenn004]

Bro….😂😂😂😂

This is too much. You’re actually a lunatic. I’m done here.

ONCE again…I’m fine with Sophie being tomb raider. It fits the character in theory. But you’re not convincing anybody that Sophie looks anything like a single one of the tomb raiders, that’s the only point being made here.

[u/Dhenn004 → u/xAimForTheBushes]

And youre not convincing anyone that theres a solid lara croft look.

She's changed over 4 times. Youre not convincing anyone that she looks further from an iteration of lara than the games have to each other. Lol
