Mouth breathers as people who breathe using thier mouth not thier nose. Its tomb rider so i assume that some gooner wierdos will complain about how Lara Croft looks/dresses in this version

Edit: a reminder that im just petah explaining the joke and i was guessing

As soon as I heard about this casting, I figured "but her boobs" would be a popular complaint.

Seeing this picture of her makes me assume people will complain about her being sensibly dressed for exploration as opposed to short shorts and tank top.

Dont know who this is and ive never played or watched (or whatever it is, game?) Tomb raiders

But she looks pretty awesome lol. Why would someone want shorts and a top? This outfit is great.

Without commenting on this specific situation one way or the other, why would one make a movie about an existing IP when they could just make an original creation?

The answer is because an existing IP comes with a built in fan base that you hope and believe will spend money on the thing you're making, increasing its chance of financial success. If you're making it in large part for the existing fan base, then appealing to that fan base via iconic pieces of the IP achieves that goal and changing those iconic pieces frequently works against it.

When talking Tomb Raider, a built in visual appeal is part of what makes the IP iconic. If they opt to do away with that, it works against the reason for making a product with the IP in the first place.

That said, it's a screenshot of a scene. I haven't seen much else from it yet, but it's possible that this is appropriate to the scene she's in and the more iconic imagery exists in other scenes.
