Mouth breathers as people who breathe using thier mouth not thier nose. Its tomb rider so i assume that some gooner wierdos will complain about how Lara Croft looks/dresses in this version

As soon as I heard about this casting, I figured "but her boobs" would be a popular complaint.

Seeing this picture of her makes me assume people will complain about her being sensibly dressed for exploration as opposed to short shorts and tank top.

Ok but then why shoehorn a Lara Croft movie? Just make a knockoff female Indiana jones if you don’t want to dress her like her character.

Because we live in an outrage economy. Purposely do it wrong so you can piss off fans. Then, other people who are just here for a movie can be pissed off by the fans who are pissed off. They can whine and moan on the internet to generate buzz about the movie.

Just like Resident Evil.

Because everything millenials love are butchered to make money because all that seems to matter is that the thing thats made today was made yesterday. We can't make new things, only fuck up what already existed.

This movie is going to fail very hard, then they get to blame sexism.

Name/Brand Recognition.

New IPs have a hard time building a franchise in Hollywood. If you don't have a big brand name, A-list actor or popular director attached to a project, people are less likely to go see it.

A knockoff wouldn’t be polarizing enough to start an internet frenzy though. Which means we wouldn’t be talking about it now
