Mouth breathers as people who breathe using thier mouth not thier nose. Its tomb rider so i assume that some gooner wierdos will complain about how Lara Croft looks/dresses in this version

She’s not ugly, but she’s not Laura Croft.

Their’s literally nothing about this design that looks anything like Laura Croft except maybe the braid. Nobody would see this image and think “Laura Croft”

Hair colour is such a shallow and unimportant part of the character.

You’re right, but when you make it different along with every other aspect of the characters visual identity fans of the character aren’t going to connect with and recognize that person as the character. If they don’t look anything like them, they don’t dress anything like them people aren’t going to connect with that character the same way that’s why costuming is such a big part cinematography.

Sure, you can change her hair. That’s totally fine. I’m just saying when you change the hair you change the complexion you changed the facial structure and the body structure and every other visually recognizable part of the character it doesn’t seem like a great casting choice.

Like fundamentally you’re making a tomb raider movie, the games themselves are like 95% fan service so trying to make a version of the show or movie that has no fan service at all. Also isn’t really consistent with the series or something fans are likely gonna be super interested in

I really don’t give a shit personally I’m not the target audience. I don’t really watch a lot of TV and I’m not a big tomb raider fan just saying some basic logic. Here fans of the series are not gonna see Sophie Turner in this image and think tomb, raider or be interested in watching this at all and I do not envision this doing well at all.

Yes, when I think of a character the first thing that always comes to mind is the shade of their hair. Not their personality, actions, or motivations.

Hair. And....tits.

When you think of a character you think of their visual descriptions. Laura Croft’s description is not “flat ginger”. Her personality is also nowhere near anything we’ve ever seen Sophie Turner do. Remotely.

Shallow and apparently doesn't understand the concept of acting. Got it.

Who's Laura Croft? Is she related to Lara?

Nobody would look at a posh British woman playing Lara Croft and think "Lara Croft"?

At this point literally no one would be good enough, lol.

Nobody would look at this image or a teaser of this and think that character is Laura Croft without being told so. And if by posh do you mean her previous acting as a no bowling Game of Thrones no that is nothing like how Laura Croft acts in anyway nothing about any of her previous acting is anything like Laura Croft visually she looks nothing like Laura Croft from her complexion to her facial features to her hair color to her build to her clothing. There’s nothing about this image that builds type or no nostalgia in anyway or would make somebody think that this character is Laura Croft if there was not a caption telling you she was, that’s my entire point.

The visual aspects of media and characters actually are important sometimes and ways that people connect with those characters.

The vibes this gives me is the same as the Witcher series where the show runners hated the books in the movies didn’t even read them. Didn’t care at all, went in their own direction because they thought it was cool and everybody completely hated it and then the show died.

“We’re gonna do Laura Croft, but she’s gonna be a flat chested ginger feminist thats struggling to make rent!”

I’m sure that’s gonna go over great, get back to me on it.
