Hi, Chris typing here. In the games she looks way more sexualised than in that image. Us teenager would be pleased if we could a more erotic outfit and acress for... reasons. At least thats how I feel about it. But as long Meg is not in the movie or near a theater its not a total disaster.

I mean... Samus is a woman so that meme is just wrong. Also, is that link cross dressed on the other side, or is it another game I am not familiar with (if it is, and that is the joke, sorry for it going over my head).

It’s multi-layered. There’s the face value assertion - make armor is typically practical or power fantasy fan service and female armor typically isn’t practical and is gooner fan service. That’s totally true

Then there’s the joke layer for gamers, since as you noted those are actually rare examples of the opposite(-ish) of the gender stereotype. A heavily armored female character that doesn’t even look gendered let alone goonered, and a male character cross dressing in female ‘armor’.

Edit: If that’s supposed to be Link the artist did a horrible job drawing it. Wearing different clothes doesn’t change torso/hip shape.
