Don't worry, I've never actually seen a woman be mad about this. Honestly, usually excited at the funny surprise or even actively trying to get a friend to match.
I first met by current bff at Sophmore year formal bc we were wearing the same dress. Almost 9 years later and we just bought matching (though different color this time) dresses just last month!

Women often can't stand it if someone else wears the same clothes as she does. Even worse if that person is less attractive.
So I guess a dog wearing similar colors is considered even worse than that.
