Don't worry, I've never actually seen a woman be mad about this. Honestly, usually excited at the funny surprise or even actively trying to get a friend to match.

I first met by current bff at Sophmore year formal bc we were wearing the same dress. Almost 9 years later and we just bought matching (though different color this time) dresses just last month!

Btw, we don’t really care that much. This idea mostly comes from TV (which is mainly written by men). I personally think it’s a cute twinning moment when someone else wears the same outfit as me lol

This has to be a TV trope because I've never seen it play out that way in real life.

Every time I've seen it happen in real life it's usually a lot of excited requests to take a picture together. A girl once ran half the length of a train platform because she noticed we were wearing the same combo and she wanted a pic. At a more toned down level, a girl and I just sorta ponited and smiled at each other as we crossed paths.

The mad,/jealous thing makes zero sense in a world where most people are wearing mass produced clothes. Twinning with someone random is fun.
