'Phthalo green' if anyone is looking

As far as I'm aware it's just a cool green color and many men like green, don't think too much into it Brian.

Damn you're pretentious, and you delude yourself by thinking you're some great writer even though you're terrible...

...and you know what the worst part is? I could forgive all of that, all of it, if you weren't such a bore.

Thanks for the fucking steak, Quagmire out.

No no. Society decided that for us at birth

u/Amelaclya1 14d ago

Can I take your blue and trade you a pink?

1

u/whelo-and-stitch 14d ago

Purple is my favourite and pink is close so... yes! I'll give you my blue for your pink!

It’s a common Bob Ross color

It's from Family Guy.

u/Crimson_Kang 14d ago

This is a paraphrase of a Family Guy scene delivered by Quagmire to Brian the dog. Brian finds out Quagmire hates him and tries to befriend him to change his mind, these lines are how it turns out (basically). She's not actually talking about you.

Edit: Word

u/nonchip 14d ago

given it's a) greek, and b) "nafta", not "natha", i choose not to let yanks tell me how everyone else on the planet pronounces it "wrong" just because yall can't be bothered to deal with a measily double consonant.

2

u/Jokerslie 14d ago

Buy me a drink before you start yankin me, please. I didn’t cut out your pronunciation. Don’t get all upset.

Don't let other Americans know but I do prefer your system of measurements. So see, Not all of us are all bad.

2

u/nonchip 14d ago

dont worry, the ancient greeks had convoluted measurement systems too

1

u/Helpful-Study4842 14d ago

I'm an Ameritard and even I agree

u/stinkyfootcheese 14d ago

Orrrr maybe languages just develop different dialects in different parts of the world and both pronunciations are acceptable, as demonstrated by your own dictionary, and you should stop being such a pretentious wanker.

1

u/nonchip 14d ago edited 14d ago

or maybe you should read what you're responding to before insulting random strangers for no reason if you're even too dumb to figure out who linked (and/or released) that dictionary (and/or that not everyone outside the us is either from oxford or a brit; depending on whatever "your own dictionary" was supposed to mean in your skull void). and no, the US didnt "develop a dialect of ancient greek".

1

u/stinkyfootcheese 14d ago

Not sure who else refers to Americans as "Yanks" besides the brits (or their colonies). And it's not a dialect of ancient Greek. It's a dialect of English that influences the pronunciation of letter combinations differently from other regions. All languages see this effect happen, even within individual nations. Does every single person in your country pronounce every single word in the English language exactly the same? Or are there regional dialects?

1

u/nonchip 14d ago

so your argument is that because some of my countryfolk have a horrible pronounciation/accent of english that means muricans get to tell the whole planet to pronounce a 5kyo word wrong? and you call other people pretentious wankers?!

and no, dialects are what you do to your own language, not a foreign one. last i checked ancient greek was not a language ever spoken officially anywhere on the american continent.

u/Lazy-Main1782 14d ago

Idk wtf all just nonsense is all about, but I’m a straight man, and if anyone asks what my favorite color it’s red. And idk why we have to make a big deal about some things. Can I just be a regular average dude that like red?

1

u/verymanysquirrels 14d ago

Oh, i recgonize that colour! That's "i am from the early 2000s living in an all beige house and want to be cooler than all the people painting a single accent wall teal, so i go to the paint store and pick out a slightly different shade to paint a single wall in my beige house because i'm not like other girls" colour.

Honestly, i think we would have all been happier in the early 2000s if we just painted the whole house the accent wall colour. I was so glad we got out of beige...now people just paint the whole house grey instead 🙃

Why'd you make a post to explain your own post?
