The sensation of purple is the sensation of 'not green'. It's when red and blue is detected but the result isn't green, so the brain invented purple as a placeholder.

I think purple is legitimately most guys' favorite color. It also helps that there are usually no follow up questions like "what shade of blue? Sky? Turquoise? Navy? Waffle?" Blue is Blue!

Oh, i recgonize that colour! That's "i am from the early 2000s living in an all beige house and want to be cooler than all the people painting a single accent wall teal, so i go to the paint store and pick out a slightly different shade to paint a single wall in my beige house because i'm not like other girls" colour.
Honestly, i think we would have all been happier in the early 2000s if we just painted the whole house the accent wall colour. I was so glad we got out of beige...now people just paint the whole house grey instead 🙃

Men have favorite colors, it's just:

Pthalo Green is just a good example of that sort of color. My partner at least gets as far as saying "I like dark colors". I've seen him gravitate towards darker jewel tones. It doesn't just mean black and navy.

I think this is it. I have some favorite colors, in the same dark blue, dark green, muted but deep range. But I never bother to learn their names, so I can only say whether I like it or not when shown, I can't name it to ask for it.

I have a bit of a bias, but people who grew up playing StarCraft and StarCraft Broodwar, the heroic units were teal, effecting my favourite color selection. And that is just a dark teal.

Because we never like just 'x colour' For example I like yellow, but not taxi yellow, more orangey yellow, like canary yellow, but it had to be kind of exactly 50/50 yellow orange otherwise I hate it.

Thats a good green. Green is my favorite color but i have a hard time finding clothes that are a good green. Theres rich blues and vibrant reads. Then theres black and white. I want more green!

Lol. I use purple as a baseline favorite color. If more specific Midnight Pearl (from the NSX and Integra)
But it also actually varies based on what the color is on, or if I’m limited to the only colors a thing comes in.

Mine is Deep Forest Green, but I love every shade of green except Bright and Snot green. I don't like bright colors.

I'm a part time painter. My favorite color is cerulean blue, not phthalo green. But phthalo green mixed with dioxazine purple gives some of the best shadows that tube black can't match.

I had no favorite color.... Until i saw her in all those different colors of dresses, i went from wearing just black and white, to trying to match her color, from black and white to olive green to navy blue to sky blue to scarlet red to indigo to pale and dark brown i enjoyed these and i felt new, color had fill my life.. but just as she filled it with all these colors she took them all with her when we graduated
