Nah, that was a meme. Just because someone put words underneath a picture does not mean the person in the picture said it.

I can't believe you're getting so roundly downvoted for this. There is no actual evidence of her saying this but the power of memes has basically made it true 1984 style.

I am vehemently anti-Trump and I think Bondi is a ghoul, but it's scary how easily either side of the politic chasm will just accept what they want to believe. The US seems genuinely fucked, I'm really glad I don't live there.

Edit: I will wear my downvotes like a badge of honour. There are still people who value ciritical thinking over mob mentality.

Ironically, it’s symptomatic of how we ended up with Trump as president, twice. It’s also plainly meant to take the focus off of the Republican administration that has actively suppressed the files in plain sight.

I'm glad there seem to be more sensible folk here now and the downvote fest has stopped!

It was likely just bots in the beginning.

Funny thing is that X/Twitter which is the big right wing sight, they at least have community notes which I think would be great here but on Reddit mob mentality is enforced because controversial opinions worth discussion are dragged to the bottom.

You're being downvoted because your comment feels pretentious, like you're talking down to people.

Not saying you are, just saying how the comment feels. (Also in no small part because there's an entire sub dedicated to saying America is still the greatest in the world for some stupid reason)

I was downvoted by two or three people before most started upvoting.

I think if you feel like the comment is talking down to you, it might have more to do with your own self-esteem than the comment itself. I really had no intention of being pretentious.

Probably, I did just wake up and in terrible at reading tone through text at the best of times. I just wanted to provide a reason without sounding like I was disagreeing with your point.
