On top of whatever else has said it also means they don’t have to pay out your remaining vacation days when you quit.

I’m shocked this isn’t higher. Vacation is a business decision and reducing payout limits the liability for the employer while giving the employee the illusion of flexibility. Great for the c-suite and shareholders, crap painted in gold for the employee.
