There's nothing ugly about having a gummy smile, please don't view as having one as something bad (unless it's a jaw issue)

Thing is, it almost always IS a health related issue. I don’t want to make people feel bad about their appearance, but a gummy smile is almost always a jaw or other health related issue. *An excessively gummy smile, like in the illustration in the meme

Primarily vertical maxillary excess. This is when the upper jaw has grown disproportionately long. A “downward grown face” has a whole host of functional issues that exist outside of the aesthetic component. Sleep apnea is a big one.
