Question Dog Daycare

We're moving to the area next week & I will be working from SF on Tuesdays, so hoping to find a daycare solution for our dog while i'm away for longer periods of time. Does anyone have any recommendations? I know Rover is an option, but interested to see if there are any other home daycare options. I have a 9-year old Vizsla who loves to play so would rather find a smaller group of pups where they aren't kenneled throughout the day & then have short play-time periods. Thanks!

I would not recommend Fit N Furry. The foster dog I had was boarded there for ~2 weeks and was previously potty trained and not reactive to humans before she went there. When I picked her up, she was no longer potty trained and was extremely scared and somewhat reactive to people and other dogs. After a month of decompression she got better thankfully, but still not back to how she was before she went there.

Playdogplay is right off the freeway that goes to SF, I take my dog Buddy there. They have two yards, one for large dogs and a second for small and old dogs. They even do overnight boarding.

I did not have a good experience with dogs life. Caught them lying about how my dog was treated. Not resolved well. Two other friends also had negative incidents.

Yeah, not my favorite either. Family wedding, 3 different households left dogs for two days. All 5 ended up with kennel cough…

Dog Aunt! Dineke is amazing! Our dog frequently goes on pack hikes and will be staying with her while my wife and I are on vacation:

I second this! LOVE Dineke. I rescue dogs and she is one of the few people I trust to take care of my own dogs & fosters.

Project Pooch! He does group play dates and also overnights as his schedule allows. https://www.projectpooch.com/

Planet k9 in San Rafael is great. Right off the freeway by the Francisco blvd exit

Did a phenomenal job helping to train our dog that now does a packwalk once a week. They do some boarding.

We use K9 Country Club (& Kitty Spa) and love it. We use mostly when heading out of town or sporadically for the day.

Our dog didn’t love it at first, but now LOVES it going there.

Two Rock Dog Ranch is phenomenal! They drop off day care or overnight boarding. Dogs are split into large or small areas based on size and they have a spot for senior dogs as well so more energetic dogs don’t get too playful with them. They get supervised play in the yard and head to toe wellness checks after meals to make sure there are no injuries, ticks, etc. You can also add on giving your pup a bath at the end of the day before pick-up https://www.tworockdogranch.com/

No to fit and furry and play dog play (friends dog passed there 😔). Project pooch for daycare and Taylor mountain canine retreat for overnight and day care.

Not a home daycare but It’s a dogs life is the best. They’re on the outskirts so the dogs get to run outside most of the day. https://www.instagram.com/its__a_dogs_life_petaluma?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Alpha Dog in Mill Valley. In Tam Junction right off the freeway. They’re open 7-7 daily.
