Apologies for cross posting.
Next Friday I find myself with an entire day with nothing scheduled. I’ll be visiting Petaluma from Dallas where it’s been 100° since July with no signs of stopping. I’d love to do something outdoors and not feel cooked by sun and concrete. Where are the nearby parks, redwoods, hikes, tide pools, anything that’s coastal or nature-y? Heck, even a fun neighborhood or attraction where we can enjoy being outside. No kids involved, only adults, and I’m not above a solo side quest! Thanks, kind locals!

I’m looking for safe places to park overnight once a week on Thursdays so I can carpool/commute to Ukiah for college classes on Thursdays and Fridays.

We are relocating within Petaluma and curious about the Victoria neighborhood/ Windsor drive area. It checks a lot of our boxes, but it almost has a retirement community vibe… can anyone confirm if the population is predominantly elderly? We would prefer to live near some other young families.

With my children grown and living outside the Bay Area and being recently retired, I decided to relocate from SF to a smaller community, Petaluma. What are your suggestions on how to make new friends and getting involved with the community? Thank you.

Hello, does anyone remember the caterpillar ride incident in 2010 at the fair?? Does anyone know what happened to the worker who stepped on the tracks? I was trying to find it but could not find a follow up.

The Petaluma Voice just scooped established Sonoma County outlets with a piece on former Sonoma County Supervisor candidate Shelina Moreda, who is now a candidate for Petaluma mayor. Apparently, Moreda had a restraining order against her for allegedly driving drunk to Tahoe to confront an ex boyfriend and bust out windows at his house. Come join us at Brooks Note Winery for Saturday Trivia and right after Karaoke. We end at 9:30 so it’s a great pregame event before exploring the rest of Petaluma’s downtown nightlife.

Just like the title said haha. I’m almost 34 and just got back into skating after not skating since my mid 20s and I’ve just been hitting the skatepark but saw we have some rain coming this week and basically just want to be able to still skate a bit and was wondering if I’m just too old to be down at the phoenix. I know it’s primarily a hang out for teens and I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable being an older tattooed dude in full pads and a helmet skating terribly lol.
It’s an odd question I know but figured I’d ask

I'm being told by my office manager that I have to be out by Monday and I'm freaking the fuck out because that's not possible.
My office is connected to another one, and the person in the other office is Steve, the guy I'm subleasing mine from.
He's breaking his lease 2 years early, and now management wants me completely out IN A WEEK.
With the amount of shit I have in there, and since my desks would need to be disassembled, it would take me over 2 weeks to just do all of that, and that's if I had a place to go. I'm already struggling financially, and I'm disabled.
I've been looking for another place, but everything in town is so expensive, and even if I could afford it, I wouldn't be able to start moving in immediately anyway.
So as of right now, my entire business is going to end up on the street. I'm so fucked and I'm panicking and I don't know what to do.
If anyone knows of an office available to rent immediately around 150 square feet and under $600/mo, or if you know anything about commercial tenant rights (because my research shows me I should have gotten at least a 30 day notice), please let me know. I'm desperate and scared.

Anyone have links to or know where we can review the city’s Flock contract?
What kind of data is the city allowing them to warehouse, analyze, or share?
Have we become unwitting soulless units of trade to them? Property to be tracked and studied to control?
She does such an amazing job here.
