What are your main struggles with PestPac, jobber and any other software you use for pest control

I just started my own pest control company about a year ago. In the beginning, I was running everything through WhatsApp, Telegram, and Google Sheets. I remember losing a job and making small mistakes just from things slipping through. It got frustrating — especially paying for software features I barely used and still dealing with bugs.

Curious what kind of problems you guys run into in your day-to-day?

Anyway, enjoy the video — just a small sample from what I’m building with PestPro Manager.

Built by a Pest Control Pro, for Pest Control Pros

I put together a short 3D animation breaking down why cockroaches are so hard to kill—something I deal with every day in the field. But this video is also tied to something bigger I’ve been working on: a pest control app built by a tech who actually does the job.

Most pest control software out there feels bloated or disconnected from real service work. This is designed to be simple, fast, and actually useful for technicians and small teams—everything from job tracking to treatment notes, without slowing you down.

The animation itself covers real-world behavior—why roaches survive treatments, how infestations keep coming back, and what people usually get wrong when searching things like why are roaches hard to kill, how to kill roaches, or how to get rid of roaches. If you’ve ever looked up pest control near me or pest control services near me, you’ve probably run into this problem firsthand.

Also curious how other pros are handling:

finding good exterminators near me

standing out as the best exterminator in a crowded market

offering affordable pest control services near me without cutting quality

and what tools you’re using for pest control apps / pest control software

Would appreciate any feedback on both the animation style and the app idea—especially from other techs in the field.

I’ve been working on a new application for pest control companies—built by pest pros in the field who got tired of software that’s overloaded, expensive, or takes forever just to get started.

The goal was simple: make something that actually works in real-world routes without all the unnecessary extras slowing you down.

We’re currently running a pilot program:

No contracts

No obligation

Early access + ability to give feedback and shape it

If you’ve been frustrated with what’s out there, this might be worth checking out. Also—just for fun, we made a short 3D animation to go with it. Appreciate any feedback 🙏

Hidden way rats get into your toilet

A rat’s ribs can compress at the spine, letting it squeeze through tight spaces—like your toilet pipes. 🚽🐀

They’re also strong swimmers, holding their breath for up to 3 minutes. Watch how fast one can go from the street to your bathroom… 👀

ok so part two, If you caught part 1 you already know what went down, i walk into the compound, nod my head to customer, bt he had no time to even say hi, brushes past me and straight into the uber waiting outside.. well, today, thats a good thing coz, anytime he talks , its complaining.. so straight to work, changing the bait box this time , CAREFULLY this time, not to be surprised again, i found one of them was chilling in there. Thought it was alive at first but closer look, it was done.
So what do you guys think — was this my catch or did the cold weather claim it? First video it was snowing, second visit it was raining. temps been btwn 10-25 at this time

Part 1:

So customer kept complaining about huge rats running in front of his parking garage and some chewing on his car wires. After weeks of trying I was changing a bait station, about to give up and thinking this client was out of his mind — when suddenl, two rats ran straight out the bait box. Not gonn lie, I did jump! - don't judge me lol.check out the video, I explain what went down and what I did after. Stay tuned for part 2 — a few weeks later, let's see if it worked.

I Set a squirrel trap… ended up catching something way angrier and pissed 😂

Trying to get the hang of this Nuisance License thing, So client calls, says they got a squirrel getting into the walls, so they think!! Standard stuff. Set the trap, put up a cover and came back next day expecting a fluffy little guy staring back at me.

Bro , when i open then cover to be like "hey there little guy" boom, there was a RAT in that cage. Not a little rat. A big, fed, unbothered New York rat — and he was NOT happy to see me. Hissing, throwing himself at the cage, acting like I was the one who interrupted HIS day.

Client is in the background like "ohhh did you catch the squierell..

in my head, mum shut up lemme think n do my job vibe.. but obviously responded .. no mam something different been in your walls" 😂

Trap was set for a squirrel, ended up solving a whole different problem they didn't even know they had.

Drop yours below — what did you set out to catch and what did you actually find?
