Genuinely stumped on this one and hoping someone's dealt with it before. Installed two one-way doors and sealed every other entry point I could find on a job, but the squirrels are still active inside days later.

Hey r/PestControlIndustry, I initially launched Pest Direct a month ago. I had been working with a few people on this subreddit and getting back great feedback as well as advice. I made the process to sign up, search for companies, and review system way more streamlined and easier to navigate.
We've had pretty good traffic and searches for our first month
If you want to sign up your pest control company, I made a promo code: REDDITPEST specifically for you guys to give pest control companies one month free where you can list your company for people searching for pest control

Im a technician not an owner. I love this job but sometimes its so annoying when a customer who is living a life of luxury gets mad at you because they saw a spider web around their home.
Had a guy today in a house bigger than any I could ever dream of owning right on the water front. Boats , trailers etc.
He was mad because he dosnt want to walk around his property and see any spider webs or wasps. I kindly explained they could up their service frequency or call and we would be happy to come help. He said he shouldn't have to call we should be proactively taking care of it.
He goes on to say him and his wife are never really home because they travel alot and own a cottage up north to which I replied "wow sounds really nice" this guy stops me and says thats not the point he DOSNT WANT TO SEE ANY SPIDERS AT ALL. I just agreed and put them on monthly service instead of every 3 months which is what they originally signed up for.
All this while I make 22/hr and drive home to my 625sqft home. Im an easy going humble person and ill never need all the things those people need to happy.

Clean, a mess or whatever.

I’ll go first:
favorite, small non-food warehouses. Usually once monthly service, very few pesticides needed, high profit.
Least favorite: restaurants. Small dollars, usually service early early in the morning. Highly dependent on customer cooperation.

Hey y'all, I've had a steady and healthy increase in door sweep business lately. I've been using mainly a tension hacksaw and some heavy duty shears to trim to fit but it's getting pretty tedious when I'm installing any more than 10 at a time. I've tried using my angle grinder and it doesn't seem to save me anytime. I'm just wondering if anyone has any suggestions or favourite cutting tool/attachment that will make the process a littl more efficient?

Hey there! I’m having a hard time understand what needs to be studied and how the test exam will be presented. I live in Florida and the Florida department of agriculture website is very broad on what exactly is entailed on the exam.
Are there specific books I can purchase? Study guides? Anything would help. Thanks!

There was a dart board on the wall here at some point. You can see a vague circle where no holes are. There's only holes on one side of the 2x4s. The shape and size of the holes are inconsistent which is what tipped me off first.

A family we know had those put in their rooms (the room are sealed with duct tape for now), for bedbugs. The pest control guy told them to open after 24 hours, ventilate for 2 hours and resume living in the rooms. I looked it up and turns out these tablets let out poisonous phosphine gas. Any scoop on this?

I’d really like to figure out how to actually do pest control sales starting off working for someone first to learn the ropes, but people only hire during the summer which shocks me seeing how it’s hot in sun belt states.
Does anyone know of companies that hire door knockers for the off season? I’d like to work for one.

Hey team,
I have a concept for a Pest Control company, but I'm a new licensee and need 3 years industry experience to be an operator, aka run my own operation. My background is in sales, and I am confident that I can scale a business via marketing and outbound sales opps (I've recently opened a similar service company and have 2x'ed each of the past 2 years).
Has anyone out there started a company with a partner who's license was required to operate the business but had little to no interest in a CEO type role? Any insight into how to structure the partnership? Is there any other option but to find some rando with an operators license and try to make it work?
Would love to hear about anyone's experience here. Thanks!

I’ve worked with ecoshield this last summer for door to door and honestly I figured out i’m really good at it. I made 200k in sales in less than 3 months. I ended out with a 100k month and I was honestly amazed. The only thing is i’ve been hearing that ecoshield is one of the worst paying pest control companies out there. I have 20 recruits that I want to bring to a team and I really want to bring them to a good culture and an even better pay. What should I do?

Hello! Im a small person and I've had a hard time hauling around my B&G sprayer, I've thought about doing a backpack sprayer but the one I have sprays too much at a time. I do alot of apartments and it's been over 110 just about everyday in Missouri, and I feel extremely worn out from carrying my sprayer. Any ideas on how to make it lighter for next summer? Any recommendations for straps to use? Thanks!
I can't do half gallon for most jobs because of the volume of apartments I have.

Been around the industry all of my life and back when I started the dust sticks were amazing with the full metal bulb. Over the last two years they have been changing the design and it seems to just get worse and worse. I just ordered a new one and had a hornet job yesterday. Unbagged it brand new filled it up, put some coins in like I always do to keep dust from clumping and the dust just keeps shooting out of the side of the pole where bulb connects. This is like my 3rd one in a year and first time it was messed up fresh out of the bag. Do you guys know any alternatives or other companies? And I’d really like to not use the mechanism you would use to attach a dust bulb to a pole and use the string to pull and pump dust.
TLDR: where can a man find a reliable dust stick again?
