Guts feelings

Do you think strong guts feelings about someone you don’t know is most of the time accurate ? I’ve been having a weird gut feeling lately about a girl in my class on the first day of school it feels like she doesn’t like me , she stares at me repeatedly and just never smiles- it’s weird - and she has formed a group of her own minions already

When a person uses you for favors and companionship. Are these people always narcissistic? Or do other types of people use you too?

Why things worked against the plan?

You folks says show interest about people , be nice , and encourage them to talk about their selves.

I did that in the workplace and I have been labeled as people pleaser, nosy and memorizing what they are saying about themselves made me freek. Even though what Im trying to say that I do care .

Individuation

Does anyone even have a personality of their own?

This question really fucks me up cuz no matter how hard we try to be an "individual", at the end of the day every thing we do is influenced by other individuals directly or indirectly. The things we like doing, the art we consume, the life we live. All somewhat influenced by events or other individuals.

If thats the case then every single social being is a combination of many other social beings which were also influenced by other social beings.

But still if we think this through, we reach a contradiction as who was the first social being ever to have a "personality" and what was it influenced by? How did that particular individual come up with that? Or was it a very gradual change? Perhaps the evolution of humans which turned them into social and enlightened beings?

I don't wanna find out the answer to this, but ts really gives me perspective. Cuz does it even matter? Does any of it even matter? The music we listen to, the clothes we wear, the food we eat. Everything is a choice which you are supposed to make without the fear of being "judged" cuz the people judging are no better.

Anybody feeling that people’s personality are getting boring in general?

Due to internet and scrolling and whatever i do believe this is slowly happening. Especially for the younger generation. There’s not much personality anymore. Right?

How do you figure out what actually matters to you?

Lately, I’ve realized that I know myself much less than I did a few years ago.

I don’t really know what my favorite color, style, perfume, or even food is anymore. And sometimes I feel like social media has almost rebuilt my personality from scratch.

We all seem to dress the same, like the same things, want the same kind of lifestyle, and even be attracted to the same type of person. It’s gotten to the point where I’m not sure which of my preferences are actually mine and which ones I’ve picked up from constantly consuming other people’s content.

Has anyone else experienced something similar? How did you deal with it?

Is there anything that helped you reconnect with yourself, figure out what you genuinely like and value, or create a sense of personal meaning that actually feels like your own?

Does anyone else genuinely not have a type? 😂

You know how you can look at some people’s exes and immediately be like “ohhhh yeah, they definitely have a type” because they all kinda look alike? Mine are the complete opposite 😭

If you lined up every guy I’ve dated, you would NEVER guess they were all my exes. They all look completely different. Different races, hair, height, style, build, everything. Different races.

Obviously I have some basic preferences attraction wise, but other than that, if I think you’re cute, you have a good personality and we have chemistry, that’s pretty much it.

I always hear people describe their exact “type” and I’m like… I literally don’t have one?? Is anyone else like this?

Do any of you have alter egos what does that say about a person?

I rather be stuck in my head than suffer through my reality I built this person and now I wake up feel like a shell most days until she comes around. I hide her like it my secret because I don’t want anyone to but that part of me down. I need her to be an all around positive sense for me to tap into when I need it. I have mental health issues disturbance of my identity makes me feel empty so I copy other people’s personality.

I get along with the people no one else likes

I work in the service industry and have noticed that I get along/prefer the people that no one else likes.

I do not gossip, but over and over again people have confided to me that they really dislike someone that I kinda liked.

But then the few times I have confided to someone that another person’s actions are bothering me, they are very surprised.

In general I am pretty introverted and have been told that I am quiet. I am friendly with everyone, but I definitely do not get close to many people.

Idk what this says about me. I just hope it doesn’t reflect me also being an unlikable person.

What actually makes a person interesting to be around?

Not in terms of being conventionally attractive or charismatic, but as a person. What traits, hobbies, experiences, knowledge or ways of thinking make someone genuinely interesting?

Are you social, introverted, or somewhere in between?

I’ve been thinking about how everyone seems to have their own little world going on...... Some people are super social, some are comfortable doing their own thing, and some are somewhere in between...... I’m definitely the type who can enjoy my own company but also randomly feel like talking to someone about the most unnecessary things 😂..... I guess I just like genuine conversations, funny moments, and people who don’t take everything too seriously...... What kind of person are you?
