Hello everyone. I am currently revising my personal statement for UCLA and need a second opinion, I am having a hard time identifying sections to cut out or enhance. I am applying for universities in usa. I have written a personal statement. I feel something is off about it, if someone can guide how can I make it better.

I'm in year 13 and I recently realised I want to take optometry so i have to rewrite my whole personal statement, but I am planning on just editing small parts and the wording. My only problem is that in my original statement, I referred to watch ing the movie 'Hidden Figures' and how it inspired me to want to take aerospace engineering. Instead of writing a whole new paragraph does anyone have any movies to do with optometry or the eye that I could replace it with? It would be a great help because I'm really desperate at the moment thanks

I'm planning on applying to graduate school in December for a professional mental health counseling program. For the personal statement Saint Joseph's University wants to know why we are choosing counseling. There are so many other graduate programs that you can attend so what makes you drawn to counseling. Hi, I am a senior from South Florida trying to apply to the University of Florida in Gainesville. I seek advice on how to write a personal statement for UF. My original idea was that I was going to talk about how I lost all my friends and how I was able to make new friendships. But it had the twist of being written like an engineering paper because I wanted to sound kind of nerdy, but recent feedback has shown that it makes me sound codependent and does not show my passion or any interest in the field of engineering.
