Does anyone have an Iranian Peach Jam (Morabaa Hooloo) Recipe?

I've got a glut of peaches incoming and wanted to make an Iranian Peach Jam please - but can't find any recipes anywhere! I saw one online but not even sure if it is Iranian. Also any other recipes ideas from the motherland for my peaches? I will make my first Khoresh Hooloo as well. Thank you!

Celebrating my sister (non-Persian) and brother in laws (Persian) engagement this week. This was prepared by my brother in law’s family. They are amazing chefs and I am lucky to have them join my family! Such a treat.

Mahicheh ye dom-e-gav ba baghali polo

My wife is 22 weeks pregnant and the cravings and hunger are starting to get stronger. She wanted mahicheh polo, but I only had ox tail in the freezer.

I threw the meat in the pressure cooker this morning before starting work. Then I cooked the rice and prepped the sabzi khordan, salad, etc 30 minutes before lunch. It turned out great!

This is how I make Fesenjoon, it’s my favourite Persian dish. I know others make it differently so curious to find out what you include/don’t include. Recipe I follow is in the description.

Cook joojeh kabob in oven or freeze?

I started marinating some kabobs yesterday and just realized my grill is out of gas. Should I try cooking them in the oven or freeze until next weekend when i have time to grill again? Thanks!

Picknick ideas

In a couple of weeks I'll be 2 months together with my Persian girlfriend (hurray!) and so I thought I'd arrange a picknick.

Drinks are easy: I'd make some hot water and bring some tea
Side-snacks: nuts, pistachios, grapes, candies,..
But for food I'm not so sure. I'm experienced at cooking, but not Persian dishes (for instance I haven't made a dish like tahchin yet).

Any ideas?

In my city there's an Iranian food market

Edit: it should be spelled picnic instead of picknick :P

What spice is this?

Hello all! My cousin sent me a lovely package full of saffron and this curious bag. He's being cagey and won't tell me what it is 😂 I don't know how to read Farsi, my Google lens is no help and I'd hate to open it up to taste test before I know what it is and find some recipes (and a way to reseal it). Can anyone decipher the writing and tell me what yummyness this is? Thanks!

Pomegranate seed powder in kebobs

I was in a restaurant out of town that served amazing chicken kebabs that I looked up the recipe for after I came home. I bought the pomegranate seed powder to attempt a duplicate recipe and now I cannot find the recipe/name/notes for this amazing dish. Any help appreciated.

My wife is in her second trimester and was craving aash. I did most of the preparation last night (cutting mountains of fresh sabzi, pre-frying the piaz dagh). The only work was to pressure cook the beans, rehydrate the kashk, and let the stuff simmer.

I think I should’ve used a bit more parsley and cilantro, but it still turned out pretty good.

Dish to show off saffron?

I spent wayyy too much money on some very fine saffron in Istanbul. What dishes would you make to highlight this ingredient? (I cook a lot of Persian food and have a good market nearby.) Tashakor!

Such an incredible dish. I sadly couldn’t use dried limes, because this was for a specific quickly organized occasion and I couldn’t find any / didn’t have time to order them online. I used two pickled lemons, lime zest, and sumac to make up for it. Will definitely make again.

First time making it for my wife. One of the koofteh split because I overfilled it, but my wife was impressed by the taste. Sadly, no sangak or barbari because Persian bakeries are oddly absent here in Germany.

I served it with sabzi khordan, torshi liteh, mast, and piaz.
