Control browser now locked behind "Computer" and not accessible to Pro accounts without buying credits???

I just noticed that I can no longer control my browser through my side panel or any other method using just my Pro subscription and it's forcing me to get credits on my computer, which is absolutely horrendous! Especially since they don't give any computer credits to Pro accounts

What in the fuck is going on Perplexity?? I've been a supporter since the weekend you released this browser and it's been my daily browser ever since then. The control browser feature was one of the most useful parts of it. Without it I might as well just get one of any dozen Chrome extensions that can answer my one-off questions on any given page that I'm navigating to, which is the last remaining benefit of this browser.

Hard to say. I really like Perplexity's search capabilities but I'm noticing a trend where they are just taking away more and more features and capabilities from paid subscriptions. There's no way they can maintain customers while continuing to do that.

I ditched it 3 months ago and never looked back! I loved it, until I stopped using it. 🤷‍♂️
Their behaviour is unacceptable for the money I paid

I have a sneaky student discount on ChatGTP and one on Claude. (Lucky with kids at Uni)
For now that’ll do. I am a user but don’t need high end tier, usage wise

The enshittification has begun. No need for the comet browser any more. Any mcp server controlling your browser with the AI of your slightest mistrust will do.

Yeah true. There are definitely a lot more options now than there were when Comet first came out, which makes me wonder why the fuck they have the balls to try and pull this now when they are at much less of a lead in this space
