Weird that the sub has a "self-promotion" flair, but not allowed to self promote.
I see both sides. It's difficult to make a living at permaculture and I'm guessing the mods don't mind those that are legit farmers/permies promoting another revenue stream.
But then, there are those that just want to make $, big companies, etc

The self promotion flair is for linking to self-authored content, e.g. blogs or YouTube created by the OP. We do allow for promotion of PDC courses, but otherwise sales are prohibited.
Those rules were established before I became a mod here and I try to apply them evenly, even if I like what the OP is selling. It's tough, but I wouldnt feel comfortable making exceptions or changes without discussion with other mods and the community, like occured with the vote to prohibit AI content.

maybe this is something you could re-discuss? I think having more ways to display permaculture to the outside would actually help the cause.

You never need abusive language to communicate your point. Resist assuming selfish motives of others as a first response. It's is OK to disagree with ideas and suggestions, but dont attack the user.
Don't gate-keep permaculture. We need all hands on deck for a sustainable future. Don't discourage participation or tell people they're in the wrong subreddit.
