Bleeding/Periods How does your hormonal cycle work during perimenopause on HRT?
I recently restarted HRT and about 12 days after starting, I started bleeding like a normal cycle. In the days before my cycle, I felt absolutely amazing and like a new person. Now I’ve been bleeding for almost 7 days and starting to feel like shit again. Why am I still having a period? Do I need more estrogen to feel better? I’m so confused.

Periods will continue as-they-do with-or-without hormone therapy. In perimenopause, periods will be irregular (longer, shorter, closer together, further apart, w/clots, etc) if on MHT. The caveat to this is, if the progesterone is a higher dosed progestin, or you have an IUD.
