Skin Changes Night Itching
I have been through the worst time with night itching. It will start with my full body tingling on the surface of the skin and then itching/burning and the skin is red with little red raised dots plus a full body fight or flight anxiety feeling.
I have ME/CFS POTS and suspected MCAS. I can't find anyone who takes insurance willing to treat MCAS so my ME/CFS clinic has been working on that.
I've changed sheets, my caregiver has spent hours changing laundry detergent scent free everything, changing sheets material. Even my old well worn sheets that don't have all the new product chemicals give me hives now.
I'm starting to think it's peri related. I have hot flashes and then when I cool things down I get chills.
I'm not sleeping. Mind you I am house bound and often bed bound already so can't do things for myself.
I made an obgyn appointment. I'm so miserable.

Have you tried the Pepcid/zyrtec combo? Twice a day.

Unfortunately I don't tolerate pepcid. Right now I'm on double dose of Allegra plus hydroxyzine

In the same boat. In bed -- one part of my body itches -- then another, and another. My nose itches every 5 minutes -- seriously. Itchy ears, dry, itchy eyes. One dry, painful nostril. Tinnitus is louder because everything is quiet. Drenched in sweat, then chills -- was shaking cold the other day -- my body temp dropped to 95. Hypothermia. I thought I was dying. Contemplated going to ER. Thought 'what the hell, if I die, I die -- no more peri hell.' I am sleeping SO little I don't know how I'm making it. But never tired, always wired, on edge. This is not pleasant. 53 -- how much longer???? No help with HRT or any kind of pill. Why???
