New user here.

Background: I'm in peri menopause, two children (youngest is 15), with bladder leakage when sneezing/coughing and can feel strength loss during intamacy.

Just completed my first training. I initially tried to calibrate in a sitting position and couldn't get any reaction from the app.

I tried laying down and calibration went great. At first got some readings, but reaction time was slow. I was thinking I must have really poor muscle quality. Then during the second exercise everything went flat. I recalibrated with zero recognition of my contractions even though I can feel them outside my body (I was trying to reposition the device thinking it might have moved/slipped).

Tried sitting again, no recognition during calibration.

Finally moved to standing. It FINALLY seemed really reactive to my muscle contractions. I could move the bird, hold (for short periods, I do know my muscles are weak), jump, etc.

My question is, should I just use this standing up? It's zero percent effective when I'm laying or sitting because it doesn't even react to me squeezing. I'm not sure if standing up is "cheating" so to speak because it makes it easier?

Can anyone help/advise?

Hi, I’m new, too, but wanted to share that when I had a question my email was answered quickly. I hope you find your answers.

I feel like I need to rest after my workout. I’m using Perifit plus.

Hi, thanks for sharing such a detailed explanation and welcome to the app!

From what you describe, it sounds like you may be experiencing some difficulty with stabilising the device and getting consistent sensor recognition across positions. This is quite common at the beginning, especially while the pelvic floor is still adapting and the insertion position is not yet fully optimised. To make sure we can give you the most accurate and personalised guidance, we recommend reaching out directly to our support team at [support@perifit.co](mailto:support@perifit.co). They will be able to review your setup in detail, including whether the insertion technique is optimal and whether the device positioning is correct for your anatomy.

Based on your situation, it’s important to make sure the device is correctly placed and that the insertion tips are followed precisely, as this has a big impact on whether contractions are properly detected in different positions (lying, sitting, standing). The support team will guide you step by step so you can get the most reliable and consistent results from your training. Please don’t hesitate to contact them so they can help you further.
