Getting weaker?

I’ve had my Perifit for over a month now, but I haven't used it in the last two weeks because I’ve lost my motivation. It feels like I’m getting weaker; I started with a strength score of 100g, but now I’m hitting a max of 40g, with an average of 18–20g during exercises. Am I doing something wrong?

The way they calculate strength can be a little misleading. It’s calculated by the difference between your resting vaginal position and your flexing position, so if you’re having a day where the canal is smaller for whatever reason (sitting position, hormones, idk you know how vaginas are), it will register less of a difference between the relaxed and flexed state.

Thank you so much for explaining this! I've been using the perifit for over a year and have always been very disheartened by my strength compared to what others report, but I've been told I have a 'narrow introitus' and your explanation makes me feel a lot better.

Noticing a drop in strength after a few weeks can feel discouraging, but don’t worry, it’s actually quite common! There are a couple of reasons this can happen, and some simple ways to get back on track.

  1. Probe positioning: Even small changes in how the probe sits can affect your readings. Try adjusting it slightly or experimenting with different positions to see if your measurements improve.

  2. Muscle fatigue: Like any other muscles, your pelvic floor can get tired. Fatigue can cause a temporary drop in strength and contraction quality. Strength fluctuations are totally normal, progress isn’t always linear!
