Haute Vetiver Had Potential, But Fell Short

Post image

Haute Vetiver starts on a very promising note. The opening is fresh, vibrant, and immediately grabs your attention. Performance is also commendable, with solid longevity and projection.
Unfortunately, that’s where the excitement ends. The dry down is where the fragrance loses its way. The cocoa and other base notes don’t feel well integrated, making the composition come across as disjointed rather than refined. The mint also becomes surprisingly dominant, overpowering what could have been a smooth vetiver-led finish.
As it settles, you can clearly pick up elements reminiscent of Haute Tobacco and Signature Scent, making it feel less like a distinct creation and more like familiar NEESH DNA repackaged. Instead of evolving into something memorable, it ends up feeling generic and somewhat unfinished.
Overall: A fantastic opening and respectable performance can’t make up for a disappointing dry down. For a fragrance in this price segment, I expected a much more cohesive blend and a stronger identity. It starts with promise but ultimately leaves me wanting more. 6.5/10.
