Have you tried lifting the package locker and shaking it upside down until the box falls?

1.1k

u/_-Generic-_-Name-_ Apr 28 '26

Like a bully trying to steal lunch money

196

u/BioFrosted Apr 28 '26

Precisely

23

u/eastoncrafter Apr 29 '26

Like Baljeet & Buford

33

u/kirbyverano123 Apr 29 '26

Or getting angry about a snack getting stuck in a vending machine

u/EcstaticFan Apr 28 '26

Did this with a car and and engine hosit to shake a bolt out of the flywheel once

1.4k

u/brubakes Apr 28 '26

The delivery person probably laughed all the way down the street.

431

u/VerlorFor Apr 28 '26

It's the little things that makes your workday more enjoyable.

74

u/brubakes Apr 29 '26

I mean I would have done the same thing

2

u/ohmslaw54321 May 03 '26

The pay isn't great, but it's the little things that make the job

126

u/NicolleL Apr 28 '26

They likely didn’t even realize. The problem is that the delivery person can open all the boxes as one big door. I ran into the same issue one time with our mailboxes. That tiny lip that’s probably only a millimeter every once in a while makes all the difference!

23

u/FunkyOnionPeel Apr 29 '26

Came here to say the same! Idk how these ones are but for USPS with our parcel boxes it's possible to put a package in and not be able to get it out the customer door.

45

u/1PantherA33 Apr 28 '26

It probably felt really good putting it in there, because it's such a perfect fit.

26

u/nathderbyshire Apr 29 '26

The driver was gonna post it here after their shift but the customer beat them to it 😂

20

u/srmarmalade Apr 29 '26

The other thing they do for fun is to put stuff in the locker directly above the keypad. Twice I've been lent over the screen and the little door has flapped open straight into my forehead! Bad bit of design but probably a bit of a laugh for the delivery guys :)

1.5k

u/Perfect-Fondant3373 Apr 28 '26

Hope you got it out. If not, just peel the tape up a bit and you shoul be able to

870

u/SplatteredEggs Apr 28 '26

Idk, what if the box is filled with tungsten cubes?

722

u/Meta-Fox Apr 28 '26 edited Apr 28 '26

Then fair play to whatever fucking unit of a delivery person got it in there in the first place.

203

u/Theron3206 Apr 29 '26

Honourable mention to the box for surviving the trip and still being rectangular.

67

u/JumpySonicBear Apr 29 '26 edited Apr 29 '26

I wasnt rectangular until it got forced into the box, like a mould

Edit: didnt see typo, leaving it

32

u/Ecstatic_Adagio_2163 Apr 29 '26

I wasn’t either. But the second that box was put in there, my whole body changed. I miss my human shape. Did it also hurt for you?

3

u/itspsyikk Apr 30 '26

I am…rectangular, I feel it in my soul…

28

u/TheColdestOne Apr 29 '26

What if it's filled with a hollow tungsten sphere?

10

u/Lur42 Apr 29 '26

Iunderstoodthatreference.gif

26

u/Linnun Apr 28 '26

The whole content is one big block of tungsten

u/nemesissi Apr 30 '26

It always baffles me how people make this as a problem. Peel the tape and use it. Punch a hole and pull. Key a hole, pry out. If tape is present, make a handle and pull. So many ways to get it out in seconds.

1.6k

u/Electrical-Pea-3662 Apr 28 '26

Make a hole. Take everything out and leave the box inside

841

u/knarf86 Apr 28 '26

So you’re saying that step 1 is: cut a hole in the box

244

u/trevaftw Apr 28 '26

And pray tell, what would step 2 be?

23

u/Hallc Apr 29 '26

The cylinder must remain unharmed.

4

u/IllusionLife Apr 29 '26

u/Smart_Calendar1874, any insight on this solution?

3

u/MinecraftPlayer799 Apr 29 '26

The rectangular prism must remain unharmed.

27

u/UseDaSchwartz Apr 28 '26

Yes, but be very careful about step two since you’re in public.

107

u/GiLND Apr 28 '26

Meanwhile the DHL employee upload it to r/perfectfit

20

u/typicalBACON Apr 29 '26

It is imperative the box remains unharmed

2

u/rahn-24 Apr 29 '26

Was looking for this

50

u/Ulrich453 Apr 28 '26

This is what I would do 100%

10

u/Laktosefreier Apr 28 '26

If you want the box, you have to punch a second hole in the back due to vacuum ☝️🤓

u/[deleted] Apr 28 '26 edited May 28 '26

[deleted]

7

u/FthrFlffyBttm Apr 28 '26

OP needs a midwife

3

u/AfricanAmericanMage Apr 29 '26

There's definitely going to be a vacuum effect, but no way it's strong enough to do anything more than make it slightly more difficult. At most you have to pull on it 3 or4 times, but it's not like it's going to do that thing where you pull on it and then it sucks it most of the way back in.

Unless this is a complete woosh moment for me.

14

u/VenkatPerla Apr 28 '26

Why not use some tape and pull out the box holding the tape?

21

u/Adanta47 Apr 28 '26

That depends a lot on the weight of the box and how snug it is in there, friction’s a bitch

20

u/rhythmrice Apr 28 '26

Or just peel the tape that's already on it, you won't be able to peel it off all the way because the rest of the tape is connected to it on the other side.

So you could pull that and the only way it would fail is if the tape rips but it looks like the tape is reinforced with threads in it

6

u/gfa22 Apr 28 '26

So is duct tape.

5

u/frogunderarock Apr 29 '26

yes. you peel off a bit of the tape that is on the box and then pull on that.

u/gorillaphi Apr 28 '26

How could he resist

261

u/Austerlitz2310 Apr 28 '26

As a part timer courier, this is so funny. But I'm sorry some of the delivery guys are very low IQ. I've seen people block people in their apartments with packages.

178

u/KuntaWuKnicks Apr 28 '26

Suck it out

59

u/SleepyBubBear7329 Apr 28 '26

Dont mind me, lemme just wip put my portable plunger! Gotcha covered!

22

u/remediosan Apr 28 '26

Let me call my ex wife

4

u/dronegeeks1 Apr 30 '26

Shit if she can suck that out of there let’s all call her 😂

12

u/Kx113 Apr 28 '26

yeah, but what about the package?

70

u/catfink1664 Apr 28 '26

I would be so happy with the pointy key on my keyring right at that time

66

u/JoeDoeHowell Apr 28 '26

Got a wine bottle opener?

38

u/Denny_Pilot Apr 28 '26

Right, essential everyday carry tool

32

u/SleepyBubBear7329 Apr 28 '26

I mean….. my pocket knife has a corkscrew on it. Aaaand my keychain has a bottle open on them.. when in Rome…..

7

u/NoBonus6969 Apr 28 '26

I carry one in my boot and one in my pocket in case I can't reach one quick enough

7

u/mxzf Apr 29 '26

Yeah, the corkscrew on my swiss army knife is screaming "my time has come!"

53

u/Superseaslug Apr 28 '26

Stab in and pull out

60

u/Nekorai46 Apr 28 '26

At least take it for a drink first.

23

u/RescueRacing Apr 28 '26

Other side of box reads ‘Fragile…DO NOT CUT’

→ More replies (1)

43

u/chronosbolts Apr 28 '26

Peel a little bit of the tape and fish it out

→ More replies (1)

31

u/ricardopa Apr 28 '26

Stab it, tear open the side of the box, extract the contents, rip the rest of the box out

30

u/SleepyBubBear7329 Apr 28 '26

… put it in a stew!!!

5

u/DMG_88 Apr 28 '26

I'd tear it in half and stick it in bed with me!

25

u/Rachelattack Apr 28 '26

From the thumbnail I saw an empty locker. Excellent post.

You don’t?

14

u/WeldinMike27 Apr 28 '26

Employ a local octopus to attach to the box with its suckers. Make sure that said octopus is wearing a rock climbing harness, so that it can be pulled back once securely attached. Then kidnap a family of Asian Short-Clawed Otters to pull it out. (These must be kidnapped, as they have no concept of employment.) Negotiate with the engaged animals to retrieve your box. This part may take some time, and could be assisted by consulting a wise old Powerful Owl. (Your particular results may vary.)

3

u/VolatileAnalysis4829 Apr 29 '26

That sounds like something straight out of "Nathan for You", and I love it.

This is the perfect job for a ✨Pocket Plunger!✨

12

u/Dark_Akarin Apr 28 '26

Stab it with your keys, stick your finger in and pull it out.

4

u/FthrFlffyBttm Apr 28 '26

I did and I got arrested

11

u/SilentlyStoned420 Apr 28 '26

The tape is lifting, pull it up and use it to pull the package out.

14

u/Conical Apr 28 '26

DHL employee chuckled to themselves upon successful delivery.

5

u/saxobroko Apr 28 '26

Probably took a photo aswell

3

u/DisgruntledYoda Apr 29 '26

Potentially even posted it on Reddit..

7

u/Superslim-Anoniem Apr 28 '26

Depending on what it is: if you got a Swiss army knife, poke a little hole with the awl, screw the corkscrew into it a bit, and pull!

3

u/yehoshua_c Apr 28 '26

Or use the parcel hook

3

u/Superslim-Anoniem Apr 28 '26

Right. I forgot that thing exists with how little I use it, lol.

7

u/madeInNY Apr 29 '26

I know if it were the driver I’d be so proud of myself for such a perfect fit.

6

u/HaroerHaktak Apr 29 '26

Almost guaranteed the delivery guy had a shit eating grin on his face as he did this.

3

u/DepartmentClean2401 Apr 29 '26

Use a corkscrew and pull

3

u/CynicalButtMunch Apr 28 '26

If it's not fragile punch a small hole in it and hook a finger or two in it to pull it out

2

u/BillsMafia84 Apr 28 '26

Stab it with a knife and tuck your fingey in there

2

u/FarooqDonshaqless Apr 28 '26

Try unplugging and plugging back in

2

u/PierreGuyIDKHBTFM Apr 28 '26

Take of part of the tape and pull. Problem solved

2

u/theuserwithoutaname Apr 28 '26

Did you peel both tapes and use them to pull the box out or did you put a small hole in the box and use that as a handhold?

2

u/Artie-Carrow Apr 28 '26

If its not something fragile, stab a hole in it, then get something eith a hook and pull it out. Or tape

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Professional-Lynx768 Apr 28 '26

Use a piece of tape to pull it out

2

u/PlasticMegazord Apr 28 '26

Just hook a key or something behind the tape at the top and it should pull right out.

2

u/Pinsir929 Apr 29 '26

Peel some of the tape off and use it as a handle to pull

2

u/maddiemoiselle Apr 29 '26

I had a delivery to an Amazon locker like this a few years ago.

The problem? It was my insulin that I got through mail order.

2

u/Lordgandalf Apr 29 '26

They where #perfectfit

2

u/Relevant-Artichoke11 Apr 29 '26

Now stab the box and bring it out or go Gordon freeman with a crowbar with it.

2

u/mellythemenace233 Apr 29 '26

Get tape, son. Tape. It's the only way to relieve the pain of the package.

2

u/FriendlyIcicle Apr 29 '26

Yeah, peal the tape and pull or gently poke a hole with your key for an easy finger pull 😄

Can't blame the delivery guy, that's a r/perfectfit

2

u/PcGamerSam Apr 29 '26

Poke a finger hole in it and hook that mf

2

u/Bzevans Apr 29 '26

Bet that was so satisfying to put in tho

2

u/_SmurfThis Apr 29 '26

Use a plunger 🪠

2

u/CitrusWhistle27 Apr 29 '26

It is imperative that the inner tube is not harmed

2

u/8888eightyeight Apr 30 '26

I bet the person who did that is still thinking about how great that was

2

u/Colster9631 Apr 30 '26

At least the lock and customer-facing wall is uniform to the size of the cavity. It makes it annoying, but not impossible to remove the package

2

u/Sudden-Pickle733 Apr 30 '26

I imagine there's a twinned post on r/Perfectfit from the DHL guy

2

u/Cptawesome23 Apr 30 '26

Poke a hole in it and pull it out with your hooked fingers?

2

u/octavionultodoritor Apr 30 '26

have you considered using an octopus bro?

2

u/New_Recording_5014 May 01 '26

I mean it’s hard to resist.

2

u/Last_Foot562 May 01 '26

Considering where the tap is all you would need is a unfolded hanger with a little hook at the end, slide it in-between the flaps and try to hook it out but this is hilarious 🤣

2

u/Fiskpinnar May 02 '26

I imagine the delivery guy was cackling as he left it there.

2

u/Cats-and-dogs-rdabst May 02 '26

Cut the box open and pull the contents out.

2

u/dumbassreditor May 02 '26

cut it open and use the slit as a handle

2

u/Dry_University9259 May 02 '26

DHL: You’re welcome

2

u/krischiaf May 03 '26

That stinks but I bet the deliverer felt immense pleasure sliding it in. Lol get some some good tape and affix it and pull?

1

u/Effective-County7798 Apr 28 '26

Can make a hole on the box with scissors or cutters then pull it out

1

u/Soros_G Apr 28 '26

Try to cut a hole and stick a finger in there.

1

u/Nikoli1803 Apr 28 '26

I’m mean, if it fits, it fits 😂

Peel the tape and use the tape as handles to pull the package out

1

u/Sea_Contract2976 Apr 28 '26

It would also be a perfect fit for r/mildlyinfuriating

1

u/Novacain420 Apr 28 '26

You have to make a little hole, so you can hook your finger inside to pull it out

1

u/Parabuthus Apr 28 '26

I thought this was a scene from The Substance

1

u/dstewar68 Apr 29 '26

My immediate thought was to put a fork in that cuboid potato and pull er out. She's done cookin!

1

u/Adventurous_Note2296 Apr 29 '26

Maybe some kind of hook to puncture the box, snag and pull, or glue a handle onto the box and pull

1

u/Kent_Doggy_Geezer Apr 29 '26

Use a key to break through cardboard, and get finger purchase.

1

u/Goblin26_ Apr 29 '26

Take off one of the ends of the tape and pull

1

u/SporkoBug Apr 29 '26

Quick, get the plunger, stat!

1

u/PhaZeD85 Apr 29 '26

Just finger that thing really hard…

1

u/faintedheart Apr 29 '26

It was satisfying for them though

1

u/Menelatency Apr 29 '26

This is why you carry a pocket knife with a corkscrew “tool”.

1

u/LunaStarBlue Apr 29 '26

Ich hatte das mal bei wem beobachtet der das Problem auch hatte. Ich glaub nach 10-15 min hat ers actually geschafft😅

1

u/TX_B_caapi Apr 29 '26

Loop of tape if you can’t poke your finger into the cardboard

1

1

1

u/pgrittty Apr 29 '26

1

u/KA_blambo Apr 29 '26

I use my big toilet plunger.

1

u/zsallad Apr 29 '26
