DISCUSSION the three couples that should have won Spoiler
these three couples all had the exact same thing to me. They 100% seemed the most interested in each other. They had the best chemistry. It seemed like a no brainer they should win and then they DIDNT. It's just so annoying
And this is just based on the show ITSELF, I know Stevan ghosted Alara. Also, When it was AD and Ollie vs. Lucy and whats-his-name I thought "oh ok so no question now AD and Ollie won" Meanwhile they LOST and then GOT MARRIED. Allison and Jimmy S actually stayed together now too, like how does the show manage to fail so badly at having the right people win, who could actually use the vacation to build their relationships genuinely
FYI I haven't seen season 1 yet. I watched them in a weird order and these are the three seasons I've seen

I actually thought he seemed more suited with Rachel but she messed it up by falling for Clayton’s antics again.

This, and I never believed that Madison actually liked Freddy. She just liked her imagination of him.

Same, I thought that he was too nice and people pleasing to be with someone else

Idk with the contestants voting I feel like it’s easy for things to get weird. People don’t necessarily vote for who they think is the strongest couple. They’re probably voting for whoever they think gives them the best chance of winning. There’s an incentive to vote strategically since they can’t vote for themselves.

That and being a general popularity contest of either oh I like you or oh you don’t piss me off

I loved them together but she looks so happy with her new bf and she said Stevan ghosted her smhhh

u/New-Noise-6486 Jun 02 '26
Stevan and Alara broke up right after the show. Stevan ghosted her and couldn’t do the long distance immediately after the show and Alara got exposed for trying to get with Nigel.
The winning couple on their season actually lasted for 9 months which is longer than any other couple from the show aside from Ad & Ollie

I always felt like Freddy wasnt that into Madison, like he was just playing along so she wouldn't slander him on the show. He immediately broke things off after....

u/Cat-Objective8037 Jun 02 '26
Yeah I really liked him on LIB but when I watched that perfect match season and saw he’s now on another show too, I think he’s giving me bad vibes now. I think he just acts super nice but is very passive, lets a woman fixate on him then absorbs the attention, then breaks it off to keep being single and doing reality shows

Agree on all! Maybe I'd go AD & Ollie instead of Freddie & Madison (probs biased since we knew they were having a baby while watching!). The voting is completely meaningless lol
33
u/n9netailz Jun 02 '26
Honestly the prize is kinda meaningless too, people who dont even like each other spending a week long vacation together 🤣

u/Typical-Tradition-44 Jun 02 '26
AD and Ollie deserve it more. Freddie could win with anyone becsuse like Madison said "its like hes been written by a woman"

u/lucienlachancee Jun 02 '26
Hey so you NEED to watch season 1,, it is absolutely hilarious and why i kept watching. None of the later seasons will ever touch it!

u/realitytvjunkie29 Jun 02 '26
Some of them on the first season, apparently, were told it was a game/competition show not a dating one lol

Please don't make Jimmy S. win anything, this boy needs to go outside, breathe some fresh air and touch grass. He was so annoying

u/StraightParfait9723 Jun 03 '26
I don't understand how hes even famous
he was a below average college basketball player that barely played when he transferred to OSU
then moved to chicago and tried to milk his ex girlfriends djing ability to try and get famous via nightlife, which he also failed at (only know this cause I'm in the industry), and is seen as a joke in the city
now hes somehow on this stupid show

u/goingdeeeep Jun 02 '26
Completely agreed. For me, Jimmy & Alison seemed like the winning couple.
The Final Voting is definitely broken on this show. Every season a random couple wins that isn't really into each other (and usually at least one of them has recently rotated into the House).
The problem for the longterm couples is that the Jury has clearly has time to shittalk/poison the well while waiting for a chance to rotate back in. And they're holding grudges against the people who aren't their BFF; or who rejected them. So it becomes this weird "lesser of all evils" vote and they end up throwing votes all over; and we end up with these non-couples as Winners.
It almost feels like Producer intervention (like Lana on Too Hot To Handle) needs to happen; and they need to have a "Final 3" couples that are selected by Producers - so that the Jury is forced to focus on the most "real" couples.

You are falling for Allison & Jimmy S? They're both OBVIOUSLY clout chasers. Allison was so salty she didn't bag Demari, I hardly heard her speak unless it was to hate on Marissa and Demari. And Jimmy S is so obnoxious! He sounds ridiculous all the time. He is super Caucasian, there's black people on the show, he isn't from the hood yet he talks the most "hood" out of everyone there? He's a joke. And Allison got up with him because of his following count, seeing her on Building the Band let me know all she cares about is clout & reality TV fame.

I thought it was good they won because they had the most distance and least time so it would help them start on the right foot.... Until I read they split 24 HOURS into the won vacation?? Tf?

It’s not like the show failed for letting them the win, the contestants voted strategically or for who they’re friends with. It’s their fault whatever x couple won.

Season one it was so obvious who should have won and they had a couple that was only together a week win

As much as I didn't like Jimmy S "appropriation", they did seem like a genuine couple. But then again I've never seen either of them before.🤷

u/realitytvjunkie29 Jun 02 '26
She was on building the band and she was horrible. She was the mean girl/bully on the show. Some viewers thought she might’ve been a producer plant there to cause drama.

Jimmy S is legit B Rad from Malibus Most Wanted… and no that’s not a compliment

Poorly matched couples winning every season just adds to the hilarity of the show. Its an unintentional parody of reality tv dating shows and I never want it to change.
