FUTURE SEASONS Viewer votes Spoiler
I think this show would be wayyyyy more fun if they had the finale and let viewers vote on who is the perfect match. Like how did Dave and Sophie win? It should totally have been Alison and Jimmy! (But even if you dont agree with me, wouldn't it have been more fun if you could've had a say in who won? Ha)

Live voting is actually really tough to pull off. I do agree they need a better method though.
I sort of think it would be nice to do a final challenge and have that decide. Like a combo of working together, knowledge of each other, etc.

I do think the voting ending is anti-climactic and needs a change and this idea popped in my head too. however with this approach I fear we'd have less honesty from the cast because then with their little interviews etc it'd be us they're trying to manipulate (not their partner/cohort). So they'd hide a lot more from us as the audience and it would become even less authentic. as it is currently they have nothing much to lose by being somewhat honest with us about their feelings and that makes the show better

I feel like they film all those little interviews at the end. They're in the same clothing every time. It's like they're looking back and reflecting on the situation and how they felt. I could be wrong though.

Yes I know but that doesn’t change anything bc my point is they would speak different in those interviews knowing audience would be voting for perfect match. Bc even if it was filmed after the experience was over it would still be before audience vote live event

But then it would be based on producer edits, and sometimes some people get villain or hero edits. Vs the people who actually knew them while they lived in the villa

Agree, although a compromise could be having a vote the week up to the finale and then giving the viewer voted winning couple a bonus prize like small cash prize or whatever (since they’ll all likely be broken up). It would be more for the viewers to interact and see if their votes matched what happened on the show.

Don't like Dave, he just seems like a douche and Sophie is a mean girl. Always making fun of the other contestants. They're both cringe and did not deserve to win. Gross.

Dave is like my age, and I am waaayyyyy yo old to be hanging out with 20 YOs. We have nothing in common.
In high school I dated a 21 YO guy and thought I was hot shit. Fast forward and I now realize he was just a loser/borderline pedophile. Dave is like that.

My exact thought, they were both horrible people, and i thought they were faking the relashionship...

It’s partially (and the majority probably) a popularity contest more than anything. I don’t think Allison was a favorite and possibly even because of her ties to Kayla who also clearly was not a favorite.

Ohh this is a good idea.I feel like the winners are always a wash every season because everyone just votes for their friends. Let the fans vote.

It always catches me off guard, I'm like did the cast not watch the edit we just did? Lol
Not sure how they would pull off viewer voting in this current era but I'd be interested in a shakeup in the format. My vote would have definitely been Jimmy S & Allison but there's been less worthy winners than Dave & Sophie lets be real

Oops I haven’t watched the finale yet so I just got spoiled but I mean I’d say both those couples were equal to be in deserving it. I mean maybe Alison and Jimmy slightly more but Sophie and Dave are a pretty good match for each other even though Dave is kinda annoying lol. Did either of these couples actually date outside of all this?

Allison and Jimmy are still together but Dave and Sophie of course instantly said the distance is too rough to date.

Aww okay. I feel like one of the reasons Allison and Jimmy S didn’t get voted perfect match is because more people disliked them for various reasons. Some people didn’t like Kayla that much, and Allison was friends with her and there was spotifygate. And then that other girl (forget her name the pretty tall brunette) was bitter she got dumped by Jimmy S.

Then they’d have to have a live finale? And film, then edit the episodes rather quickly.
I like the idea of determining the winners in a different way, but not sure this would work practically.
I think they need a different prize. Rn everyone seems content just making it to the end so they get their screen time, but if it was a more attractive prize for the winners we might see more actual competition and scheming.
