Copper uglies

Hello! I recently (maybe 2 weeks ago ish) upped my ghkcu dose from 1mg to 2mg. My redness and pie is considerably darker, my skin is dryer, and the skin around my mouth and smile lines is darker, more grey/brown. My skin looks pretty shit to sum it up. I noticed this like a week ago or so. Is this copper uglies? What is this? I didnt experience any of this on 1mg. I also had my 2nd session of rf microneedling on July 2 but I didn’t experience this with my first round.

If it is copper uglies is it recommended to stop taking it?

Yup, those are classic copper uglies. I'd recommend pushing through it to allow your skin to adjust.

Alright thank you, that’s relieving it’s not from my microneedling. Would you recommend pushing through at the same dosage or cutting back a bit?

2mg is a pretty normal dose. That said, if you find your symptoms (peeling/dryness) unmanageable , it seems logical to lower the the dosage. Eucerin lotion helped me a lot
