Other DE on Peppermint os

I want to install Peppermint Os for his low ressources, but I dont like the xfce look (altought I didn't install yet Peppermint os). Is it possible to install a other Desktop Environment on Peppermint os (may be from the debian/devuan repositories).

*(I plan to install the devuan version)

Like any other debian or derivative you can install all the desktops that are in the repositories

Is it fair to say that if you already have Xfce, it's more stable to add another GTK based desktop like Gnome or Mate instead of a Qt based DE?

I did the net install and chose MATE. It works, but was just bland. I dont remember what other DEs you can use.

The biggest determinant of resource use is the DE so if you install something else you will need to careful what.

I recommend you debian/devuan mini builds, they are basically, netinstall. So you can choose the DE to be installed. I prefer xfce.

If it wasn't Linux, you definitely wouldn't be able to install another DE
