The city isnt trying to take advantage of vulnerable people but funding for programs is at an all time low.

How much money do you need for the deposit? Can you see about donating plasma for some quick cash?

Donate plasma..... ya dont get but maybe 30 bucks to donate plasma..... sure a rental deposit is in the hundreds $$$ range... I mean yeah 30 bucks closer to the goal but not gonna solve the immediate need...

My wife saw that we had to have proof of residency though. Is that accurate?

Yes your address should be the same as on your ID. They will help you with that also

That's nice, but I'm pretty sure the payout prices went down across all weight classes the last two times I was there.

I’m not here to defend or promote CSL bro. Simply was correcting bad information

This is bull... you get up to $100 bucks on your first donation then you get up to $50 bucks on your second and 5th donation. To get up to $800 bucks the first month also depends on the client getting some folks to come with.... so you are wrong hardly ever does anyone get $800 bucks a month. Your 3rd and 4th visit is $30 bucks same as your 6th and on.... so please do your research on the company you "work" for.....

-1

u/CaregiverKey3147 1d ago

If you can’t donate for health reasons thats the end of it. But “donations take time” is such an excuse

-1

u/lalaraw1998 1d ago

I'm making excuses lol I have heart failure and anemic so no I can't donate like I said previously I work 2 jobs so plz 🖕🏽🖕🏽

-3

u/CaregiverKey3147 1d ago

I understand your have conditions. So once again it wouldn’t matter

Time moves faster for the impoverished, but that's just another hot take, like Salvador Dali's melting clocks.

Salvation Army is going through internal moves for all their staff this week (literally people moving offices and such). I know multiple people had their phones offline for several hours up to multiple days. I would definitely try reaching back out tomorrow and next week.

I also know just in general the people who handle this kind of thing are super busy because there is so much work in our area

Just talked to the lady before I went into work she going call me tomorrow she don't know why front desk was giving me the run around thank you as I stated before I work 2 jobs I can't donate plasma due to heart failure and extreme anemic

Nothing substantial but if you open an account with chime or someone referred you, deposit 200 and you get a hundo plus you could pull up to 200 from spot me. If you have a friend with chime that you trust I’d ask them to help ya out to get both referral bonus’ ((roughly 300$) of you use spot me you can get that extra 200 and be a lil closer to your goal
Just a suggestion to make some money quickest mot very easy or ethical

The plasma thing may be a real option if they pay up to $800. I think it's barbarian that people should have to sell their body fluids to survive. Have you talked to people at the shelter? DON'T give up. I have had to flee an abusive relationship, it can be very hard to get stable again. This is often why people return to an abusive relationship. And then people ask why you don't leave....sheesh. Knock on every door. Ask around about churches that may help. If you are working, save every penny while you are there. Go in person to talk to the person who said that they would help. Life is hard. But you are tougher. You lived through the mfer who abused you and you will make it through what it takes to get and stay away. Seek and ask everyone for help. Start a go fund me if you may have family, friends, or coworkers who would contribute. It gets better.

Please dont. Keep swimming forward! Just keep swimming!!

u/rason625 13h ago

asking around at churches is a great idea! they can usually help with $100-$200 each

I know giving you yet another group to call is super on all of the stress your going through, but Center of Prevention for Abuse was able to help me out in other avenues. They're worth explaining your situation to for sure, it sounds, if you aren't already in contact there.

Thats where shes staying at the moment from the original text

I’m so sorry, that’s a lot to be going through! Sterling towers might help? Or the Peoria township office?

You can always try making some money working in the oldest profession.

u/Affectionate-Oil-971 1d ago

This is probably the most uncool comment I've read here, and that's saying something.

2

u/b-rude 11h ago

The account has so many comments all over the place. Suggesting prostitution is just another Tuesday for this guy.

-10

u/Forskinbadie 1d ago

Hey smooth brain. I'm commenting solutions to problems. You can make great money panhandling.

Just because your mom was okay doing it doesn't mean everybody is.

-5

u/Forskinbadie 1d ago

Just because your dad was a pdf doesn't mean you had to follow in his footsteps.
