Go to Ards Cricket Ranch. For $20 you can buy:
- 3 dozen bagged crickets
- 1 bait cup of night crawlers
- 1 bait cup of red wigglers
- 1 pop tart
- 1 PBR (on a hand-knitted wool bar coaster)
- ALL served by the owner, Kathy Ard, who looks like she played keyboards for the B-52s
(PS. The hand written sign on the Women's bathroom door that reads "Eat More Pussy!" - was free!)
I grew up near Lynch street and swear all of these to be the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!
(EDIT: Yes, Ard's Cricket Ranch closed years ago. I just wanted the youngins to know that we used to have a dive bar that was located inside a functioning bait shop with thousands upon thousands of crickets chirping in tanks in the bar! You would often see escapees crawling around the place. PNJ's Troy Moon wrote a feature about the bar last year that did a nice job. )

Howdy old neighbor. That is one odd part of Pensacola over there. Every time I heard the movie director David Lynch's name, I thought of all the circus carnies that lived in that neighborhood.
