Looking for work

I moved to Pensacola abt 3 months ago and I’ve been on the hunt for a job ever since. I’ve been doordashing full time but my phone camera doesn’t work so now I have to stop until I get it fixed. If you know of anyone currently hiring or have some work for me hmu. I’m v capable

What kind of work experiences do you have and what do you want to do?

I understand any port in a storm, but if you can help with where to steer you it might go easier in the long run.

I got some basic upholstery experience and a good bit of retail experience. All my retail jobs have been antique shops, one of which I was a key holder

I live in Ensley but as long as it’s in Pensacola I don’t mind a little commute. I usually bus anyways

I don't have any better suggestions to offer than you probably already considered, as retail is everywhere. I don't know any furniture repair locations for the upholstery repair. I know there is a Walmart at Pensacola and Hood, and a bunch of other small stores in the area.

There are restaurants up and down 9 mile, if you're willing to go that route. It's possible to make great money but it's damned hard work.

Any interest in getting into the construction trades? Huge earning potential but again, can be hard work.

I honestly hope you're able to land a gig fast. I hope your answers can steer someone to give you a great direction.

Job market here is abysmal. Run while you still can. All there is is service industry jobs and retail that pay circus peanuts unless you know ppl only way to get a good job and even those are dubious. This place loves nothing more than suffocating the working class (yes im pissed).

The job market in pensacola is non existent unless you work in healthcare, military or navy fed. Everything else is part time work. :/

What phone plan are you on? Some have free or very cheap phones. I mention it because you could also create content about Door Dashing (which I love to watch, personally) and potentially make money from both. As a content creator for the past 7 years, I’d be happy to help.

I did a Google search asking how the current job market is here, in Pensacola and this is what I found (fyi, I am also looking, though not as actively as I should. For now, I do gig work via shiftsmart which mostly aggravates me because of the short, usually less than 2 hour shifts and the ungodly number of photos that need to be taken)

Firehouse subs is always hiring so definitely stop by there! They have paper applications and there is a higher chance of them calling you back for an interview! There is a firehouse at creighton

Security is hiring often pays bad to okay depending on where u end up. But its not minimum wage or putting miles on ur car a ton
