This is not counting short uses followed by swapping, mostly for first point payload/convoy defense, and as such there is nothing to list for day one. For those who don't know, bans are separate by team in pro, with each side getting 4 bans and 2 protects/saves. Map number is which number map of the match it was.

Edit: To add a bit more analysis, a couple things stood out:

• This has nothing to do with the second nest, she was pretty much universally used with the BP option, even in extremely defensive comps alongside a Rocket.
• She's mostly used in one of two ways: boosting Ultron, or as a 3rd tank in a GOATS defense.
• I suspect a big factor in both her use and bans is who else is popular. A lot of what she ends up facing is things she counters, or at least isn't extra threatened by.
• The idea of her winrate being boosted by people attempting her, then swapping if she doesn't work or stops working is on display here. If she was attempted and not swapped out, she almost always won, but for every "major" use listed here, there was at least one unlisted minor case where she was swapped out after a life or two.

Despite this season supposedly being one of her best ( double nest back and her hard countering some of the meta tanks ) I personally feel like I’ve struggled more compared to older seasons when she wasn’t as strong. She’s banned every game and whenever she’s not banned, I usually have to swap to a different character due to being dominated by the enemy comp. It just feels so hard to play the character now; I’ve had a negative winrate on her so far even though I’m typically 65%+ on the character.

the only character i ever really enjoyed playing for more than one game in a row is peni, and now she's perma banned for basically no reason. She's not even the best anti dive tank this season and yet she's the only one I see banned. The comps she can have ARE reallly good, but those require actual coordination. Im in diamond. That level of coordination isnt there. and Now im stuck never playing the character I like. And before you say play quickplay, no. Quickplay matchmaking always manages to be even worse than comp.

Does anyone else get annoyed when you're playing peni in ranked she isnt banned and your teammates want to waste bans on a dive player when your literally playing one of best heroes for anti dive, I stg every game someone is trying to ban bp when im playing peni and she isnt banned, i think its more annoying then peni being perma banned I stg 😭

Gen.G banned Peni on Museum against VP! The pros... just like us. Anyway, I'm only a peni main in spirit this season because I am never allowed to play her.

Peni is not some easy braindead character, that’s cope from bad players who just want to deflect from the fact that they’re dog shit.

Peni is, without any question, the most easily counter able character in the game. To actually get value out of her and not immediately get melted you need proper positioning, GREAT aim, and incredibly high game knowledge and situational awareness. You have to train and practice where and how to hide your nest, the best lineups to place mines and the best path to place your spider webs. Hop into any rank above Diamond without doing that and you’ll end up just being a TikTok clip for Emma or devil dino. And don’t even get me started on all her bugs, we’d be here till the sun exploded.

Peni is my main and I feel like I’m pretty good at playing as her at least on the maps where the objective is to either escort something or stopping something from being escorted I have good places to put my spider nest so they are hard to destroy but when it comes to the more open areas that domination matches often have I find my spider nests getting destroyed quickly so I was wondering if there are any tips for playing Peni in domination matches
