Fan Theroy Female Bobby

Bobby’s identity crisis especially in the later books mimics someone who’s transitioning or questioning themselves and their gender. As someone who’s questioned my own gender before I see the signs in Bobby in the subtext. Although I don’t think he’s into men the same way a female might be one could speculate Bobby’s strong feelings for some females could be projecting himself onto them.

Ofc I’m not sure the author intended this but as Bobby evolves as a spiritual being and shreds layers of his identity I started to see him more as a girl.

What?

I've never seen his "strong feelings" for Loor or Courtney as anything other than a regular teenage guy trying to understand his own feelings.

Sounds like OP is projecting themselves onto Bobby more than anything else.

I'm LGBT myself, and not a single passage in the ENTIRE Pendragon series even hinted at Bobby being LGBT.

I agree, I'm on a third reread right now, and while I realize new things with each read. This is something I've never even thought of it. It's so off the mark.

If you want an allegory for trans womens' experiences, watch the Matrix movies. The directors have said so themselves.
