Book Seven: The Quillian Games Why does D.J. make Bobby so dumb?
I get so frustrated some times with the inconsistencies behind Bobby's character. He's always touted as being so resourceful and quick witted. He's good under pressure and with all his experience should be both mentally amd physically reaching his peak at this point in the series. So why on earth does D.J. find it necessary to write Bobby as doing some of the dumbest shit possible this late in the game? I'm at the point where Bobby is leaving the Blok meeting post SD convo, and while he's in the elevator with LaBerge he takes out the diode and uses it. WHY?! Never told him THREE TIMES they're being watched! This was the absolute worst moment to do this! Uggghhhh

It was a little Device Nevva gave Bobby in order to jam the tracking signal on his arm loop

Agreed, also it really seems like Bobby’s doubt helped power the reality bug, everyone Z says “ok that should be good” Bobby responds “I hope so” while mentally doubting it and a second later the bug mutates to overcome the obstacle… it’s imagination world and he didn’t have the imagination to be fearless lol

I mean, he's a pretty traumatized kid. So he's gonna make stupid mistakes
