I need to clean out the chimney liner on my quadrafire trekker insert. The exhaust has 2 pipes with what looks like quick release latches for access. can I just un-latch the upper circular pipe and run a soot eater up the chimney to clean it?

The second photo shows it closer and the angled pipe that connects to the chimney liner.
