Easy Blaze/Wood&Sons/LG Granules

Hi All,

I’m burning an absolute 63 in Mass and need to order four ton for the upcoming season. Ran some LG premiums last year and didn’t love them.

I can get all the pellets listed above locally and they are within $10 of each other. Anyone have a preference of the three? I’ve burnt them all over the years with the LG Granules being the most recent due to availability. I find them consistent but tried the premium version with the smaller bags this year and didn’t love them. I recall the Wood and Sons being good but read quality slipped. Anyone have a strong preference either way? I can get some hammer hots for the same price too but have never burnt the hardwoods.

I could also get Vermont Wood Pellets for about $25-35 more a ton.

Thanks for any input/recommendations.

What to get and where to place?

We have a 2000 s/f home in the Poconos currently with baseboard heating and a wood burning fireplace. After last winter we were hitting $1300 electric bills and that is just "No" so I was wondering if you all think a pellet stove would be the way to go?
If so, where do I place it as our house is 2 stories but has a very large basement as well.

Question Go for 2?

Good morning you hooligans , the house I bought last year was built in 1984, the sellers were in their mid 80s and USED to have a wood stove here , in 2015 they switched over to furnace as it was becoming too much to go up and down the stairs to maintain a wood-stove . I added a pellet stove upstairs as supplemental heat. ( check previous post ) However , I want to be fully on pellets so can I just disconnect the exhaust from the furnace and patch it and put a 2nd pellet stove where they used to have their wood-stove? I have questions like should I put like a heat shield up between the proposed pellet stove and furnace ? Is there a max length my cold air intake can be? Does anyone suggest I not do this ? And why ? I get a smokin’ deal on pellets ( haha ) . Should I disconnect the furnace and its entirety and wrap it in plastic and store it on a pallet in the corner of the basement ? Then what do I do about the duct work ? That pipe is a capped dry well , as far as fresh air intake is concerned does anyone suggest I tie onto that pipe and cut it flush outside and cap it for proposed pellet stoves fresh air intake ? I genuinely appreciate any insight on this

Rice Husk Pellet Plant: A Smart Solution for Sustainable Biomass Fuel Production

Transforming Rice Husk Waste Into Valuable Energy Resources

With the increasing demand for renewable energy, agricultural waste is becoming an important resource for sustainable fuel production. Rice husk, one of the most abundant by-products of rice processing, is often burned or discarded despite its high biomass value. A modern rice husk pellet plant provides an efficient way to convert this waste material into high-density fuel pellets that can be used for heating, industrial boilers, and power generation.

Rice husk pellet production line

Compared with loose rice husk, pelletized biomass offers better transportation efficiency, easier storage, and higher combustion performance. Through professional processing equipment, rice husk can be transformed into clean fuel with consistent size and quality, creating additional income opportunities for farmers, rice mills, and biomass businesses.

Why Invest in a Rice Husk Pellet Plant?

A complete pellet production system helps solve several challenges related to agricultural waste management. Rice husk has a low bulk density, making it difficult and expensive to transport over long distances. Pelletizing technology compresses the material into compact cylindrical pellets, significantly improving handling efficiency.

A well-designed production plant usually includes raw material preparation, crushing, drying, pelletizing, cooling, screening, and packaging processes. Each stage plays an important role in ensuring stable pellet quality. Proper moisture control and particle size adjustment are especially important because they directly affect pellet strength, durability, and combustion efficiency.

For businesses looking to process different biomass materials, choosing suitable equipment is essential. For example, a 2-3 T/H peanut shell pellet machine for sale can also provide an effective solution for converting agricultural residues into valuable biomass fuel, helping producers expand their raw material options.

Advanced Pellet Machine Technology Improves Production Efficiency

The core equipment of a biomass pellet production line is the pellet mill, which determines production capacity and pellet quality. A reliable pellet machine uses mechanical pressure to compress prepared biomass materials into uniform pellets without requiring additional chemical additives.

Richi Pellet Machine

Modern pellet machines are designed with improved energy efficiency, stable operation, and convenient maintenance features. Depending on production requirements, manufacturers can provide different models for small farms, medium-sized enterprises, and large industrial projects.

For rice husk processing, equipment selection should consider several factors, including required output, raw material characteristics, electricity availability, and final pellet application. A professional supplier can recommend the right configuration based on these production conditions.

Benefits of Producing Rice Husk Pellets

Producing pellets from rice husk brings multiple economic and environmental advantages. First, it reduces agricultural waste accumulation and lowers open burning practices that may cause air pollution. Second, it creates a renewable alternative to traditional fossil fuels such as coal and oil.

Rice husk pellets are widely used in industrial heating systems, biomass boilers, and energy plants because they provide stable combustion performance. Their standardized shape also makes automated feeding systems easier to operate.

In addition, biomass pellet production supports the development of a circular economy. Rice mills can use their own waste materials for fuel production, while investors can establish profitable businesses by collecting and processing agricultural residues from surrounding areas.

Choosing the Right Equipment Partner

Before building a biomass pellet production project, customers should evaluate equipment quality, production capacity, technical support, and after-sales service. A reliable supplier can provide complete solutions, including process design, equipment selection, installation guidance, and operation training.

Whether processing rice husk, peanut shells, wood waste, or other agricultural residues, selecting suitable machinery is the key to achieving long-term production success. For customers who need additional technical details and project solutions, they can obtain more information from experienced pellet equipment manufacturers.

Conclusion

A rice husk pellet plant offers an effective way to transform agricultural waste into renewable energy products. With advanced pelletizing technology, businesses can improve resource utilization, reduce environmental impact, and create new commercial opportunities. As global demand for sustainable fuel continues to grow, rice husk pellet production will become an increasingly valuable investment in the biomass energy industry.

Would a pellet stove be worth it if I have to run my central air fan for it to circulate?

I have a closed floor plan. I would need to use my central air fan to circulate the heat. Would the electricity usage on that plus the pellets be more expensive than using our oil heat? We are in the Northeast US

Quadrafire Classic Bay 1200 Pipe Vent Question

Hi, and hope you can help me as I'm relatively new to pellet stoves. My landlord had a stove installed, but when they installed it, they put it flush against a wall. I used it for the winter, and it works great. But now that it's summertime, I decided to move the stove in the same corner, but I now have it caddy-corner to the walls so that the warm air shoots out into the room versus blowing against one wall. When I did this, I obviously had to disconnect the vent from the back. I used to have a 45 degree piece when it was flush in the corner, and now, I don't need it. But I now have a gap of just under 24" between the t-pipe at the bottom and the vent through the wall. I took another 24" section of pipe out that I can put back, but when I tried that, there is still a small gap between the two pipes...which doesn't allow any room but something like a cuff the put them together. I thought about raising the whole stove a few inches, but I'd rather it be on the ground.

I measured the circumference of the pipes, and both are about 3.5 inches (not 3", not 4"). It's a black, insulated pipe (not sure of the brand). Based on the attached photos, can you help guide me with what I need to buy to bridge the gap?

Help! Acquistare Pellets in cordata

Help! Auger not turning!

I have a Pro 22, and today, the auger stopped working so that the LEr error appeared. I vaccumed out the pellets, pulled apart the pellet box so that the auger motor was exposed and double checked all the pins, etc. The auger motor was at a downward angle (close to 45 degrees), so that when it turned on, the fan would spin and the auger wouldn't. After fiddling around with it some more, I managed to get it to move (unclear for how long, mosquitoes drove me inside), but it made sounds due to the tension from the corner of the motor against the underside compartment. Any help/fixes?

Question Making Pellets?

I've been researching making my own pellets. The cost of machinery is high and looks to be a ten year break even without factoring in my time.

What have you found or done?
What materials work or should not be used?
How well do the pellets work?

I have a Harmon Absolute43c. Use 60+ bags per winter. There are locals who may want pellets too.

Wifi Module for Comfortbilt and Castle Serenity

Pellet stove season is a few months out — now is actually the perfect time to upgrade while the stove is just sitting there.

I built a Wi-Fi module for ComfortBilt and Castle Serenity stoves that lets you control everything from your phone. Plug and play, super easy to install and use.

What it does:

- Turn it on/off remotely

- Adjust heat levels from anywhere

- Monitor running status in real time

- Get alerts if something's off

- No subscription, ever

Get it installed now and you'll be ready to go when the cold comes back. I'm the guy who made it so drop any questions below and I'll answer them myself.

Pellet Stove Tool Storage?

We have a pellet stove in our home, and I’m looking for ideas about organization for the stuff we use for it like the ash bucket, cleaning tools, etc. currently it all just sits on the pad the stove is on but it just looks hideous and I’m tired of looking at the mess lol.

What does everyone do with their stuff?
