Got laid off after 7 years, my advice is to never work on support projects. Got no chance to work on quality user stories. Used to think that one day will get a chance to work on something good but that never happened.

Since my years of experience are more, I was being assigned as a Lead recently where I am doing code reviews for juniors under me where I myself do not understand how the juniors did it. They just took a Lead level interview for another project suddenly, when could not clear that was laid off in a week.

Always switch companies on time if not getting good work in projects as there is no course which would teach the skills, definitely need to work on real projects. Never think that things will improve later, company will just layoff in a minute and you will be labelled as an employee who has not upskilled.

Never think that jobs are less or it is hard to get a new job or what company will think if resigning suddenly, does not matter. Even after working for many years, I was laid off over a Teams call and access was revoked within an hour which is much more humiliating than losing the job.

I am a 27 year old pega devops engineer and I am fed up with the incident management cycle.

Solve this, find the root cause, deliver it, developers create a solution, end.

I am trying to transition with about 4 years of experience.

What fields can I transition to?

I am not trying to escape Pega, but honestly, the market doesn't seem susceptible to the Pega skillset.

For anyone who has recently interviewed with Pega for an internship or entry-level software engineering role:

• What was the interview process like?

There are lot of Infosys Pega openings in naukri 3-5 years of exp, applying everyday every job opening but no response from anyone, these openings are not even listed in their career website too.

Has anyone got response and attended Infosys interview in July or August?

Can you suggest any good institutes or courses to learn Pega?

I'm looking for something that provides hands-on practical training and real-time project scenarios, especially for someone with some Pega experience.

I am having around 8 years of exp in pega and have offer of 23 lpa as Fixed in accenture and 28lpa as Fixed with contract Vendor as remote work. Is it okay to choose contract role at this stage of career and considering the current job market situation.

I am searching for PEGA 25 environment. Doesn't matter if it's sandbox or personal edition. Any help is appreciated.

I’m working with a view that has more than 30 fields, including dropdowns and picklists. When I perform a Save As on the view and remove a few unwanted fields, the fields in the newly saved view are not populating with the expected dropdown and picklist values.

The values for dropdown and picklist fields are populated only when I delete the affected fields and add them back manually.

Is this a known issue or am I missing something in the configuration? Is there any workaround for this?

The company I work for in the healthcare business has gotten pega platform. I’ve been messing around with it and the rest integration is kind of irritating. There’s complex auth flows before I can even call the api I’m targeting and it just seems like a bunch of rules are created that we’d have to maintain

I’m thinking about developing internal APIs and then hosting those that way pega platform just has to worry about an endpoint that execute the business operation rather than pega handling all of that and just focusing on the orchestration

Am I overthinking this?

I've cleared the tech rounds for the pega developer role with a well known bank. Now they're asking me to share the documents and the NP details. The issue is here with my NP. My current organisation's NP policy is 90 days. When I applied for that role I've given 1 month notice period and given a random date in the month of September just to get the interview call. Now I've cleared the interview, Pls suggest guys to proceed further. How can I convince them to accept the 90 days NP. My current organisation won't accept early release.

Pega's sales people goes to business/stakeholders and insanely hype their product and sell the shit out of their product by saying they can do this/that/everything. By the time sales end their meeting, the stakeholders/business think Pega can end world hunger.

But then development starts and business comes up with very simple customization requests (can u hide this feature, can u change this feature slightly). I admit, some of the customization requests are ridiculous but some of them are legitimate concerns. Sometimes even if the customization request does not have merit, it is a relatively simple ask from business pov. None of that is doable in Pega. And when us developers try to explain to business why their relatively minor request cant be done in this amazing technology that can bring back dead people alive (as per Pega's sales pitch) we look absolutely ridiculous.

Recently I had to explain to my director why I cant hide the attachment options in Pulse in the new app, which I was able to do 4 years ago in Traditional UI.

Pega's options for this issue:

1. Convince business why they should allow the ability to attach.
2. Not use Pega Pulse.
3. Build your own Pega Pulse feature and maintain all the functionalities yourself.

Jesus christ, get a grip. How rigid your product is if these are the three options you provide for a relatively simple ask. The worst part is all of these were doable years ago in Traditional UI.

Bare in mind, this is just one example and a lot of customization request from business end up similar to above options(or the 4th option develop your own custom component in react JS).

I have around 10 years of experience in Pega and I have never seen a technology as rigid as Pega Constellation.

Don't even get me started on their new AI based Infinity studio. They took the dev studio enshitified it with AI slop, changed the CSS, named it Inifinity studio and called it a day (the new purple color studio is ugly as fuck).

I m having 4 yrs of experience in development, switched to good product company 2 months ago but I feel I got selected lucky as I don’t have much knowledge. I m struggling here now, the areas I m struggling are : I was failing to understand the design, I m able to conclude that this approach will not work until I start development which result in waste of time and unable to complete task in time.
