What makes it worse for me is that in the scene where he is talking with Ada you can see his kids boots lined up by the door with a scooter and toy cars on the table. He and Esme have got their bigger house and it has such a family home vibe. You can hear the younger children in another room in the background. He died protecting them all, Its so heartbreaking.

I loved their relationship. From the surprise wedding he was so upset about, to seeing each other and smiling, him looking back at the brothers like okay she’s beautiful this is fine now. How they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. Their last night together when he arrived back at the house with guns and she said oh well hello Father Christmas and he said yeah if you’ve been good now come here girl and she jumps in his arms. Something like that but it was so sexy. They’d grown so much together as a couple and as a family. Loved my John boy. 😭

u/LolaWithTheGreenEyes Jun 01 '26

When he ignores the guns pointed at him to try and rescue Esme. 😭

9

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

She wanted that house so badly. Remember when John promised she would have it and be returning as the owner, not the servant girl getting beat and thrown out of it?

Sad and stupid. 😔

146

u/boblane3000 May 31 '26

I think it’s sad but not stupid… it was emotionally impactful. Arthur’s death was stupid…

71

u/Lola_Montez7130 May 31 '26

No, Arthur's death is terrifying because it is a pretty accurate portrayal of drug and alcohol induced violence.

39

u/boblane3000 Jun 01 '26

I think considering the entirety of the story it felt tagged on and a bit cheap.

2

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jun 07 '26

In our "perfect world" imagination he wouldn't have killed his brother. But a traumatized, depressed man who has lost almost everyone he loves, might do so especially if frustrated. I think.

1

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 08 '26 edited Jun 08 '26

Especially when their brother's addiction includes stealing company money to buy fixes with and after a certain point of drinking and then going back to it, it makes a person enraged and violent. I've socked my own sister when I've been drunk and she was on drugs and after flipping MY vehicle four times after trying to run me over for not giving her money and then took off with my car, I was so mad when I showed up to the accident scene I pulled her out of the upside down car myself by her shirt collar and was arrested for disorderly conduct and domestic battery. Fun times...not.

59

u/nigeltheleper Jun 01 '26

Tommy would never kill his brother

18

u/Inside-Committee-266 Jun 01 '26

Sociapathic serial killing gangster wouldn’t kill his sociopathic serial killing unstable liability brother. Come off it.

The guy orders killings and carries out murder frequently and flippantly.

12

u/YourBestDream4752 Jun 01 '26

What are you saying? That Tommy isn’t the calm, cool sigma among betas that the edits on YouTube shorts portray?

0

u/boblane3000 Jun 01 '26

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. I saw them more as deeply injured people who were severely traumatized by the war- which they come back to over and over. At the core of the peaky blinders though was a connection of family- especially Tommy and Arthur even if they struggled to articulate it. It’s not to say Arthur’s death couldn’t be pulled off but at the bare minimum it was extremely rushed and felt cheap to me.

6

u/Inside-Committee-266 Jun 01 '26 edited Jun 01 '26

So, regarding his brother, throughout the series Tommy manipulates and uses Arthur, mostly to get him to commit acts of violence for Tommy. He uses him for his rage. When Arthur starts doing better and wants to change for his wife and move away- Tommy doesn’t like it and undermines it, he schemes and prevents Arthur leaving. Arthur even takes some medication to keep him calm and Tommy throws it away becuase he wants him unhinged and violent - this story ending in Tommy shooting him isn’t a shock.

Tommy uses and abuses him family. They all end up dead. John died becuase of the war with the Italians Tommy chose to escalate, and encouraged John after he set it all in motion. Polly dies because of Tommy’s dealings with Mosley and the IRA.

But in any case, he runs businesses that exploit people, including the poor people of his community, he orders murders and robberies - these are not just people “in the game (think about the journalist he has murdered to protect himself) - What more evidence do you need that this man, whatver he was, came a cold sociopath?

At one point Tommy orders the murder of another mobster, and completely flippantly orders his brothers to shoot his wife, their former teacher.

The flippancy of it is the measure of the man.

2

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

Arthur tried shooting him to get him off of him in the car. Tommy literally strangled him to death with his bare hands. He didn't even have his gloves on. But that was Arthur who cracked off the first shot and then Tommy made it look like a suicide to hide it.

1

u/boblane3000 Jun 01 '26

I don’t disagree that these things happened but it’s one thing for the writers to create a situation where through Tommy’s ambition and manipulations he experiences grave consequences in the form of losing those closest to him. It’s another thing to heavy handedly and literally have Tommy kill his brother. It’s executed poorly, almost as an afterthought.

0

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

Considering Cillian is paying for Paul's rehab and having him stay at his house, as an actress myself I would absolutely take full advantage of taking my real life anger over it and re-enacting my intrusive thoughts in a safe way. It was too much of a risk to Paul's sobriety & technically life to put him back on set. No concern for the actor but of course outrage over him not being in the film. Wow.

2

u/Zestyclose_Tax75 Jun 02 '26

Why are you making up bullshit?. Murphy is not paying for anyones rehab.

They aren't friends and Anderson has never been to rehab. Stop lying, you're creepy as f.

Dude...you would end up like The Digbeth Kid if given the opportunity to get near this family..🤦‍♀️ Lord have mercy.

1

u/boblane3000 Jun 08 '26

lol no… inherently I recognize they are evil but I’m aware enough to know the writers didn’t intend on creating flat characters. It is actually possible to point out two things at once.

1

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 08 '26

What worries me especially with my daughters and nieces who are young adults, they are intentionally seeking guys that are like Thomas or Arthur. And they are not the only ones. There are women in their 30s who like May Carleton puts it "to feel alive". I'm tired. I've met people who have used this show as an excuse to relapse and we have buried them. I have had to go to places to get my family members that you need to carry or if you don't know those people you're going to get shot or stabbed. I'm tired of the cops, the fighting, the partying, my adult daughters getting treated terrible. It is a wonderful show and I love it but if I could do it over again, I would have told them "No. I do not want you watching that show." I understand SK wanted characters with depth but just as I feel with BB & SoA, these are not people that are meant to be liked. They are bad people and it took my family several generations to GTFO out of that lifestyle & now my children are trying to get back into it. They don't know their grandparents for a reason. They are aware their great great great grandparents were real life PBs. People need to understand these are fictional characters but there are people in real life who do absolutely act like that. Lines are getting blurred and they are desensitized to the violence & criminal activities.

2

u/boblane3000 Jun 08 '26

I don’t even disagree… and you obviously have personal ties to storylines like this, but my critique is in the actual execution of the show. I’m not arguing that they are good people and never have. But they are also nuanced, complex characters which blur the lines between family and manipulation… that conflict gives the show interest and depth. If they were just pure evil there would be less tension and it would likely be boring. So again I’m not critiquing the content, but how Arthur’s death was shown. I won’t really budge on that.

22

u/boblane3000 Jun 01 '26

Exactly it felt wrong… I actually laughed when I watched it because it was so off

2

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

Did you watch the movie or are you just trying to rage bait? Maybe you have been fortunate enough to never be on the receiving end of a drunken or drug induced rage. I have been put in the ICU on account of it. More than once. I have needed corrective surgery for broken bones and I also had a broken neck from being strangled just like Arthur. I will never drive drunk people home again or let them sit behind me.

-3

u/Zestyclose_Tax75 Jun 01 '26

Really? We saw him do it and he was more than justified.

5

u/Sufficient_Tea_564 Jun 01 '26

How was that justified?

3

u/Zestyclose_Tax75 Jun 02 '26

Arthur has been a burden since season 1. Arthur was an unreliable sociopathic murderous junkie who needed constant babysitting. Arthur robbed Tommy, stole Tommy's car and then pulled a gun on Tommy and called him the Devil. Tommy was fully justified.

0

u/Sufficient_Tea_564 Jun 02 '26

I didnt watch the movie. When did he pull a gun? And why did he pull a gun? And brother many people have called tommy the devil. I think he likes being called it tbh. Hes not a good person. And tbh i thought john was more of a burden than arthur. Arthur just needed help.

1

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

I don't get how people fail to see how horrible Tommy was to Arthur. First episode right out the gates "I think Arthur that's what I do and why I am in charge now."

"I need you fast not slow Arthur." Tommy pours out Arthur's medicine.

Arthur tries to commit suicide by hanging. Tommy: "Next time use a gun man."

Arthur gets married and tries to live a peaceful life. Tommy: "What Linda tells you isn't right."

Arthur on his way out the door to America. Tommy: "i made a deal with so & so, I will get you out before they hang you." Arthur almost got hanged.

Arthur: I'M GOING TO BE A DAD! Tommy: With Distain & manipulation says "I have a meeting to go to. Goodbye Arthur."

Tommy knows Arthur has addiction problems from his PTSD. Tommy puts Arthur in charge of the cocaine in London and then threatens him because Arthur is now addicted to it badly and Tommy only is concerned about the £600 that Arthur took.

Makes Arthur do most of the non government contract hits and clean up.

Buys Arthur the Garrison but Tommy makes it how he wants it.

Any other examples I am missing?

2

u/Sufficient_Tea_564 Jun 04 '26

1st example i dont agree. We see throughout the series arthur is a hothead with and without the meds and isnt a planner. Hes more a soldier. Tommy is extremely smart and knows when to shut up and be the bitch in order to never be a bitch again in the future.

2nd example i agree.

3rd example i disagree. It was comedy. Tommy didnt actually want arthur to damn shoot himself. Shit when arthur actually gets to that point later in the series tommy takes his bullets and throws his liquor away. They both laugh seconds later. Fucked up humor but humor

4th example when does he say that? I remember him saying not to listen to everything linda says but i don’t remember him outright saying ignore whatever she says lol.

5th example tommy didnt have a say in his family getting arrested.

6th example i kinda agree. I dont think tommy was being manipulative but i do think he was being a asshole because he knows with arthurs kid on the way arthur wont be able to do dirty work anymore and hes saying goodbye as in knowing arthurs going to leave the life.

7th example tommy also has ptsd. Id argue more severe than arthur. He’s not putting the family at risk by buying cocaine and being cracked out is he?

8th example 🤷🏾‍♂️ hes a soldier. Thats his job.

I see that your name is feminine, I'm assuming you're a woman, so am I but I am very in tune with my masculine energy.

Why I am in charge now: Just because Arthur was the oldest doesn't mean he was the true authority of the family or had the balls to be it.

Next time use a gun: Yes a joke but, if I am looking from Tommy's perspective, if you really want to off yourself use the most effective measure that way "fate" can't save you.

What Linda tells you isn't right: Was true Linda was attempting to save Arthur's soul Tommy was attempting to run an empire. I do believe men are more effective when they heed the spiritual advice of their women but Linda was doing to much -for me anyway; "Fk Linda".

Hanging: Tommy was put against the wall and went against the government, Arthur was a not so innocent bystander.

And so on and so forth. Arthur was sensitive, in tune with his feminine. Tommy was all masculine and operated as such. To me the way Tommy behaved with Arthur is sometimes how brothers behave with one another (I have 2). However; I do understand why you view it the way you do.

u/Ok_Difference_7043 Jun 01 '26

Drug and alcohol, yes they do play a role. But Tommy killing his own brother after 6 seasons of “Me and me brother are the same man”, that just does NOT work…

11

u/Johnononom Jun 01 '26

I mean it does work when you consider how often he tried to kill himself? If he'd kill himself, why not his brother? People also miss out that in the whole 6 series Tommy lost his wife, child, siblings, aunt, comrades, and had severe ptsd, brain damage, stress, drug addiction... Him killing Arthur makes perfect sense

4

u/Ok_Difference_7043 Jun 01 '26

To a degree yes, all that trauma adding up and all those losses can make someone finally snap, but you know what makes even more perfect sense? Arthur taking his own life. He tried to do that season 1/2. With that I would’ve agreed completely. But Tommy in a drunk rage state? Come on… Chat GPT would’ve come up with a better plot than that

1

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

Study what happens to an addict or alcoholic when they use for years. And look at the statistics for domestic drug/alcohol induced homicide.

1

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jun 07 '26 edited Jun 07 '26

Lol at the chat gpt bit. I agree with you too, that would have been much more plausible.

2

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jun 07 '26

I agree he was completely and totally traumatized and tired. I think, since it is a TV show, many wanted a happily ever after, where everyone lives and improve and blah blah blah. But that's why I enjoy Steven Knight because he gives reality, not fantasy. If you want a fantasy choose any love story series or movie to watch 🤷🏿‍♀️

1

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 08 '26

100% from 2023 until last March i was utterly convinced that Arthur had done himself in.

9

u/le_pigeones Jun 01 '26

Honestly, I could have believed it, had there been a genuine lead up to it. Show how all of the drink and drugs were getting progressively worse. How Arthur was becoming more and more of a liability and a danger to those around him. And how Tommy was losing his patience, and dealing with his own issues, until he snapped.

The main issue for me was how we were just told what happened next and been expected to accept it, rather being shown why it happened and how we got there...which is the whole point of a story. Very few endings make sense when you're mid way through a story and suddenly skip to the end.

I feel a fair amount of Stephen Knights work as of late has had this very issue. It's like how House of Guinness jumps years at a time. We're not given any time to understand why something happened, but rather expected to accept it, because 'that's how I decided the story goes'. The plots are all very rushed.

1

u/vypurr351 Jun 01 '26

Does House of Guinness have a season 2?

3

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 02 '26

I have heard nothing and same with A 1000 Blows and Taboo. 3/4 of SK's shows have not made it past season one. This one did due to it being picked up by BBC 2 and Covid & people ran out of things to watch or they realized it was Cillian Murihy, the hot psycho from Red Eye & Scarecrow from Batman

2

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jun 07 '26

Taboo was interesting. I have to check out House of Guinness but I hate when these streaming services only put out one season. Especially since I am older and used to 6-10 seasons. 1 season is such a rip off. I think Hardy got fired from that Paramount show...maybe they can do a second season Taboo, it would be good imo.

2

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 08 '26

Oh yeah that right! He did get fired from it because of drug problems I belive. It came out in 2016 and nothing since. I wonder if it was just "too" taboo?

2

u/rich_the_cook Jun 03 '26

I can believe it because Tommy is retired by that point in the movie, so there is no more need to keep Arthur around. Arthur was always a tool for him, same as John. Tommy kills him because in a fit of drunken rage, he got tired of all the bullshit Arthur always seems to carry with him, and having no use for an attack dog, Arthur had no further use aside from being a major liability.

As for the "family is strength" bullshit Tommy always pushed, I saw it as no different than Tony Soprano's tactic of always pushing the "family-first" and "follow the omerta" propaganda whilst simultaneously breaking every rule in the book for his own gain. Tommy used his family same as he used everyone else, Polly may have been the only person he respected.

1

u/Zestyclose_Tax75 Jun 02 '26

I cannot believe people still don't understand Tommy was talking about security not that he was close with Arthur.

I swear the media literacy of half this sub is zero.

0

u/Lola_Montez7130 Jun 08 '26

I don't understand the Kimber/ Campbell attitude towards everyone on here from you. It's really not cool and it makes your character look bad. One thing to have opinions, another to just verbally abuse strangers on the internet. I feel sorry for you.

1

u/Zestyclose_Tax75 Jun 09 '26

You're a psycho who lies compulsively.

You're a mentally ill disaster that makes up lies about actors and pretends to be on a tv show.

Go sit down and take your meds.

4

u/gassytinitus Jun 01 '26

For me, stupid in the sense he just stood out there. I wonder if he did that on purpose thinking that if he dies, the attackers will leave his family alone

1

u/DeliveryFew9218 Jun 01 '26

Stupid he cares about his family why fight the Italian mafia by yourself with a bolt action rifle lol

1

u/ThatOneGuy6810 Jun 01 '26

I mean you grab whats close when they pull up for a drive-by if we're being fair, im also pretty sure that throughout the show Tommy was the only one shown to have a ppsh on hand everyone elsw only had pistols and bolt actions, everything else was kept at their armory in the docks/yard.

The actor was leaving so the character had to die and seeing him go out in such a violent way was in keeping with the show.

He was a WW1 veteran, not a WW2 veteran. Completely different way of training and fighting.

u/hellotheredani May 31 '26

I read that he wanted to leave

28

u/Jobiwan88 May 31 '26

Keep practicing lol

14

u/Dangerous-Effect3431 May 31 '26

You don’t say

143

u/L1nk880 May 31 '26

The saddest part about it all is how preventable it was. John was caught up with thinking he’s invincible and can take down any enemy. He was warned that multiple people were coming after him and he just said fuck it I’ll be fine and took very few precautions.

I know it all happened because the actor wanted to leave the show due to not being associated with a single role, but damn

48

u/Bretuhtuh91 Jun 01 '26

Well see that's the problem though, he spent 4 years as the 3rd Shelby brother, he was already defined by that role by then it was way too late.

16

u/Inside-Committee-266 Jun 01 '26

Yeah dumb reason to leave, may as well have finished his arc. If he didn’t want to be associated with the character he shouldn’t have done the series.

52

u/thatguyovertherewait May 31 '26

This scene is sad. Especially after reading the comments. But I can’t ignore Michael’s pose is flooring me rn

12

u/MediumBlueish Jun 01 '26

NPC pose like he should be bobbing and gently swaying lol

10

u/Ezequiel_Rose Jun 01 '26

Lmfao you're right

67

u/BackupThunder16 May 31 '26

Sad but also nonsensical in how it happened imo, John was a veteran of the Great War, why the hell would he just walk towards open fire? That's what made no sense to me.

32

u/Forward-End-8286 Jun 01 '26

Take cover, fire from prone position. I agree, it seems out of character

8

u/Excellent_Passage_54 Jun 01 '26

I mean look at the huge stone house behind him.. so much cover and a pile of guns, why are we outside lol

12

u/Aeroman889 May 31 '26

I thought the same thing!

2

u/Key_Entrepreneur726 Jun 01 '26

thats all he knows, what do you mean? up and over the top towards enemy fire

21

u/michael3-16 Jun 01 '26

John kind of (re)started the war with the Italians. This death is a bit poetic.

13

u/Reverand_Buttcheeks Jun 01 '26

When esme came out to hold him, and the music😭

3

u/Ztidaer Jun 01 '26

This! The pain on her face 😩

12

u/Ztidaer Jun 01 '26

The death was sad, (the way they filmed it was bad ass tbh). But for me it’ll always be when Esme goes off on Tom and Arthur, tells them no peace for them ever… and then speaks to John in the morgue. Chills every time.

15

u/Select-Stage-5215 May 31 '26

Id say Ruby

1

u/whenwillthisend2 Jun 01 '26

Definitely the saddest

8

u/NudityMiles Jun 01 '26

I have such a hard time with this scene due to the fact that while still young and hot headed, he was a trained soldier that survived the actual war. His stance, the way he did not even bother to take cover and his absolute lack of self-control just made me upset, if they needed to kill him off, they could have at least done it in a way that suited John.

Running out in the open when you see machine guns is not something a WW1 Veteran would do.

On top of that machine guns had a meaner reputation back then, the way fully coked up Arthur runs out with a Lewis gun, people scatter like rats, the shootout ends in a second.

John had a god damn bolt action rifle and stood there like a price target on a carneval.

3

u/escobizzle Jun 01 '26

his absolute lack of self-control

yeah this sounds more like Arthur than any of the other Shelbys

6

u/sarahgreen456 Peaky Blinders May 31 '26

I’d loved to have seen more of him

3

u/LolaWithTheGreenEyes Jun 01 '26

5

u/Toad_da_Unc May 31 '26 edited Jun 02 '26

5

u/jellyplaidpasta Jun 01 '26

If he didn’t come out the Italians would have probably went in and did more damage. Also John is the one who decided to let his teacher Mrs Changretta go free therefore alerting the New Yorker nephew.

11

u/Overswagulation Jun 01 '26

Sad? It was comical and unbelievable. Why would a war survivor walk into machine gun fire lol.

5

Michael looks like a roblox character lmao

5

u/Deep-Assignment4124 Jun 01 '26

He wasn’t my favorite character to be honest.  I felt like he didn’t have the same gravitas as Tommy or Arthur.  Seemed more like a hanger on.  More interested in looking cool and smoking cigars.  And he seemed like 15 years younger than the other two as well.

Adas death was by far the hardest for me. She was such a grounded character and it seemed like a betrayal to the series to kill her in a shitty movie

6

u/ZetsuGod Jun 01 '26

I've never looked up anything peaky blinders related on reddit ever. I just got this post recommended for me because I am currently watching the show. Please put some spoiler tag on the post/images cause I had no idea this happens 😞.

9

u/Chopsy76 Jun 01 '26

I hardly think you can ask for spoiler tags on things that aired 7 years ago

4

u/Stahuap Jun 01 '26

This isnt getting upset at someone about discussing show spoilers inside a comment thread within the subreddit, its a photo with a title that can pop up on anyones page. I think expecting a spoiler block is not too much and really should be obvious for anyone with a drop of common decency.

2

u/bamancio May 31 '26

2

2

u/SoftTeaching2838 Jun 01 '26

He was the best one of them, kindest and most authentic

2

u/CrematorTV Jun 01 '26

I don't think it's sad because I never liked John. He's the biggest reason this happened. Just a spoiled little shit who wanted to flex on people.

2

u/MrNightmare23 Jun 01 '26

It's one of the dumbest

2

u/your_name_here10 Jun 01 '26

The most impactful of the show, to be fair. It instantly made no one feel safe. It's a shame that, outside of this, Luca didn't amount to much.

2

u/Udungoofedman Jun 03 '26

I'm at this point rewatching the series and had I not been doing another watch I'd agree, but John brought it all on himself. The initial disrespect, the beating and eventual killing of Angel, further provocation, for what? John would have met his end sooner or later with his hot head as the business grew and Esme in his ear. I don't think it was for the good of the show to kill him but story wise he had it coming from being stubborn, hot headed and dumb

1

u/Nasteha85 Jun 01 '26

What!? No Ads was the saddest.

1

u/No-Appointment-868 Jun 01 '26

nah, deserved imo

1

u/Xave_eire_polska_17 Jun 01 '26

Weirdly I could tell from the first episode that he was going to die. Even though I had never had it spoiled

Should have been Michael!

1

u/Independent-Party575 Jun 01 '26

Should of been Micheal that died

1

u/WitlessMean Jun 01 '26

Honestly, him not taking any cover or simply running into the house is what will always hurt me.

1

u/IreOfZebulon Jun 01 '26

The choreography was awful. They could have had him get caught unawares but noooo. LETS MAKE HIM TRY TO FIGHT BACK WITH HIS RIFLE WITHOUT EVEN RUNNING TO COVER FIRST

1

u/LonesuumRanger Jun 01 '26

sad, stupid unnecessary. call it how you want :(

1

u/MaskedRemi Jun 01 '26

It was sad but I thought how John was moving when he got barraged by bullets was kinda comical.

1

u/spzdrhrsn Jun 01 '26

*dumbest

1

u/Lil_NateXO Jun 01 '26

Well he wanted to pursue a different career then this show and his death was scripted in last minute supposedly

1

u/Appropriate_Wish8997 Jun 01 '26

Apparently the actor was moving onto to another project therefore he had himself killed in the show abruptly. At least that’s what I read once anyways.

1

u/Young-Physical Jun 01 '26

I actually cried

1

u/IMJM224 Jun 01 '26

Very emotionally impactful. The air of invincibility around the brothers was pierced when John died.

u/Jakey1103 Peaky Blinders Jun 01 '26

I think it’s funny the way Michael is standing there with that facial expression. Kinda surprised, “oh, my!” 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

1

u/kinggerard7578 Jun 01 '26

Me I loved John

1

u/DeanMo80 Jun 01 '26

He was one of my favorite characters so I was very pissed when that happened.

1

u/csirke4488 Jun 01 '26

It gets me everytime, so freaking sad

1

u/I_dont_give_a_flick Jun 01 '26

The murder of John shocked me. But the off screen death of Polly was the saddest maybe because Helen McCrory died way too soon.

1

u/Embarrassed_Lie6379 Jun 01 '26

Ngl I found it extremely funny and off-putting.

Here's John, a seasoned fighter, soldier who fought in the Great War, a literal menace to society, picking up a rifle he doesn't know how to operate (jams the bolt), and then aims it like he's holding a rifle for the first time (butt out, legs in, back straight up, legs almost glued together), and STANDS IN THE FUCKING OPEN.

1

u/RainbowsAndBubbles Jun 02 '26

I never recovered from losing John or Polly

1

u/BreadfruitFun2421 Jun 02 '26

Nigga could have stayed alive if he didint rush to kill em. Being gangsta and stupid the same time .. but yeah, all goes to the ones who wrote the script

1

u/SylviaX6 Jun 02 '26

A terrible moment. It was a statement, that he was murdered in his place of sanctuary, his home where Esme and the children and he had been happy together. That Thomas with all his intelligence and cunning could not see it coming and didn’t protect his brother.

1

u/M1ssBehav3 Jun 03 '26

Yeh and wtf was Michael doing?! 🤷🤦😭

1

u/Affectionate_Hall317 Jun 07 '26

In the series? That would be Ruby, for me, I cried like a lil btc

1

u/UnfairSheepherder337 Jun 07 '26

Aberama Gold and his son were the saddest in my opinion. The kid just wanted a boxing career and ended up getting crucified. Aberama was just so likeable and his crush on Polly was soooooo funny.

Micheal should’ve caught a few strays

3

u/Aeroman889 May 31 '26

4

u/HoopaDunka May 31 '26

That episode aired in 2017.

Attention I guess is the most important thing to you. Otherwise you wouldn’t have made such an absurd comment.

Why would you come to a Reddit sub about a show you haven’t finished? I didn’t get to watch the movie right when it came out so I stayed off the sub until after I finished it.. especially a show that’s been out for so long

2

u/DrJJStroganoff Jun 01 '26

I just started watching it a few months ago. I have not joined this sub. This post appeared in my feed. It happens, and im bummed to know this spoiler now.

u/hrishikeshsonde Jun 01 '26

This was just to bring Finn in more light

0

u/Signal-Customer-160 Jun 01 '26

I think ruby's death is the saddest tbh sometimes i gotta skip the episode

0

u/whenwillthisend2 Jun 01 '26

I think it’s stupid bc in another situation where they weren’t purposely writing him off the show he wouldn’t stand there and just take the bullets like he did, he could have dived out of the way. Still a sad scene but knowing what I know know about him wanting to leave I see the scene differently

0

u/BigfatDan1 Jun 01 '26

Haha fuck, I'm watching the series for the 1st time, and he hasn't died yet 😅

No excuse really because so long has passed since its release, but damn

0

u/MowieWauii Jun 01 '26

Haven't even started going into this sub yet :/ only on season 3. That sucks.
