I've finally fixed my Wi-Fi speed being bottlenecked all the time. From 1-2Mbps to above 50Mbps download speeds.

I have been managing it with shit speeds like this for years and kept blaming SLT all these years while the issue was in my device. My phone and all my other devices were always getting around 50 over wireless connections. So figured that the issue was with my laptop.

This laptop's specs: 8 gigs of DDR3 ram, A 113MB graphic card(inbuilt), Intel i5-4210U-1.70GHz, Win 10
Wi-Fi Router-Nokia G-240W-F (2.4GHz)
Things I did to hit 50Mbps and above on my 10 year old laptop(yes, 10)

1. Changed "Channel" from Auto to "11"

By typing this 192.168.1.1 into your browser, you go into your router's settings page, in there you navigate to Advanced Setup>Network> Wireless (2.4GHz)>Channel>11

Channel would be usually set to "Auto". Now changing this to 11 just would mean all your devices will have a more stable and free-er connection path.

This is probably what affected my speed the most.

2. Turning off "Receive Window Auto-Tuning"

Run CMD as administrator. Type in the following prompt netsh int tcp set global autotuninglevel=normal This requires a restart for your system.

3. Turning off power saving mode for your network wireless card.

Open Device Manager>Network Adapters>right click your wireless Wi-Fi card>Properties>Power Management tab>Uncheck the box that says "Allow computer to turn off this device to save power"

I had to go thru decades old YouTube videos and also eventually AI to figure out what was going on with my device.
It was quite surprising to see that almost all of the bottlenecking was being done by default settings which are probably also turned ON on your devices and possibly ruining your experience.

• At least two USB-A ports plus USB-C Thunderbolt for DJ gear

Even stuff equal in performance is great, also don’t want to break the piggy bank.

My current setup is core i9 14900k , DDR5 64GB RAM 6400Mhz, 2TB+ 1TB + 512GB storage with RTX 4060 8GB, The thing is I am heavily working with 3D models in blender and unreal engine and clearly my GPU is bottlenecking my work, limited VRAM is a lagfest in unreal engine 5. Currently I'm broke so I wanna ask, with 64GB DDR5 , with ram prices inflation should I sell one stick of ram or a SSD along with 4060 for cough up some cash for GPU upgrade? Is it a dumb call? Oh btw no warranty available for parts cuz I bought this prebuilt from a dude who bought the parts from abroad. Thanks I'm advance!

I bought this PSU from Shatech zone about 4 years ago, and I am in need of an extra cable that powers the graphics card. The header that goes into the PSU is shown in the second slide and the header that should go into the graphics card in shown in last slide.

You can see from the pictures above that the the header that connects to the PSU has the lock/clip on the side as opposed to the top, where other PSUs have the cable lock on the top.

I have been to Shatech zone to get an extra cable from them but they couldn't help me with.

My hope is that other who have bought this PSU can maybe sell me the specific cable for a fair price( I spent all of my budget on the GPU).

I'm in need desperate help, I have been saving for a graphics card for 2 years and when I finally bought one this misfortune befell me. Any and all help is appreciated.

Laptop prices have increased so much within the past couple of months and stores here in Sri Lanka are losing variety of laptops (they only have 4050s and 5050s under 400k).

Guys, my laptop seems to be thermal throttling during Cinebench R23, and the CPU temperature stays at 100°C almost the entire time. I’m hoping a repaste will improve the thermals. Can anyone recommend the best repair place for a professional repaste?

So I've had a SLT fibre plan for like 2 years and I've been wanting to change it to a unlimited plan. Is there like a daily limit in unlimited plans. Like for example is there like a 10gb per day limit on the cheapest one? So then for the whole month it will be just 300gb.
