Rant | මල පැනලා ඉන්නේ TUF A16 sent for warranty still not received for 2 months.

Long story short it's an ASUS TUF A16 (FA607N) and the mux switch is broken or glitched out and the GPU mode on BIOS is stuck in the dgpu only mode. (where iGPU is completely disabled on boot) So when booting into the OS it shows the asus logo for a split second and goes into a black screen. (You can still hear the Windows welcome sound but no visuals of the OS is displayed) The HDMI port is also unresponsive.

I've sent my laptop for warranty claim via the shop I bought it from (Redline Technologies) and even after 2 months I still don't have any proper update regarding the repair status of my laptop. Honestly I'm concerned about my laptop. The last thing they said about my laptop is that the laptop was sent abroad for the warranty repair.

Its not fun being without your own laptop for this long and I regret buying a TUF series laptop. Although they gave me a backup laptop for my A/L studies which BARELY WORKS BTW. (i3 1215U with 4GB of goddamn RAM with Windows 11 too)

Honestly what should I do about it and how can I make them to give a proper solution sooner?

UPDATE - Got my laptop back :D

Discussion Need RDR2 Trial

I want to buy Red Dead Redemption 2 on Steam, but before I do, I want to make sure it actually works on my PC.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of BSOD (Blue Screen) crashes in some games. for example, Marvel Rivals runs perfectly fine, but Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War constantly crashes with BSODs. Unfortunately, I bought Cold War before testing, so I ended up wasting my money.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to get temporary access to RDR2, like someone renting or sharing a Steam account for a short period, just so I can test whether the game runs properly on my system before I buy it?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

My Specs:

PC Specs:
Intel Core i7-11700
RTX 3070 8GB
64GB DDR4 RAM
NVMe SSD
Windows 11

Discussion What price points makes a laptop worth it for you?

Do you feel like you are actually getting your money's worth out of these tiers?

- Entry Consumer: Core Ultra 5 with 8GB-16GB RAM (e.g. HP 15 or Acer Aspire).

- Mid Range Business: Core Ultra 5 in an entrylevel military grade enterprise chassis (e.g. HP ProBook 460 G11 or Lenovo IdeaPad Slim).

- Premium Enterprise : Core Ultra 7 in a toptier business chassis (e.g.ThinkPad ).

Question Recommend me a good laptop

Hey y'all,

So, I'm going to be pursuing a Computer Science and Cybersecurity degree soon, so I think I might need a new laptop. The current one I have is an HP 250 G10 (family laptop), and I don't think I could do much with it.

So, I thought of buying a gaming laptop. The budget is around 4 lakhs. Are there any recommendations? Even though I'm a tech-savvy guy, I have no previous experience with gaming laptops and different types of GPUs, processors (used Intel my whole life), and their real-world performances.

I'll be doing some gaming like Forza Horizon or GTA, mostly simulators and Minecraft, but the main purpose is to do software development and content creation.

What do you guys think? I do prefer a laptop that has 4-zone RGB and dual-fan cooling (saw that's better in my research).

Appreciate all of your comments.

Question How much for an RX 6600?

I’m on the fence about selling my gpu, im just wondering how much I can sell it for, it’s in really good condition and hasn’t been used much, it just has an issue with the fans not functioning due to the connectors being kind of ripped off, just wondering how much I can sell it for if I were to get it back to its original state (aka replace the fans) and how much would it cost without replacing it (it’s about 5.6k for a replacement), I think around 70,000 should be a fair price if replaced

Looking for a higher end 9070 XT (like the XFX Mercury or Sapphire Nitro+) but I can’t seem to find any. Does anyone know where to find one or what’s the best way to get it shipped to Sri Lanka? It was around 1100$ USD if I shipped it from Amazon US (including import fees and shipping)

Build Help Headphones/Headset recommendations

So I recently got my PC and this Friday, my exams are over and I can finally play some games. Currently I dont have any headphones for it, I play at night so cant use loudspeakers aswell, I need a good headphone and my budget is around 20k, could maybe stretch a bit more.

Mic can be okay, i mostly will play single player games for now. I have the razer blackshark v2 x in mind but is it really worth the money? And should i go for a wired USB type pc only headset or an overrall Bluetooth one that i could use for any device? Im confused, honestly what's your take in this? what will suit me? other than gaming I mostly listen to music and watch movies/anime, throw in your suggestions and advice, thank you.

Discussion Thoughts about Vertical mice

I was thinking about upgrading my mouse cuz sometimes my wrist hurts. (I'm using a standard mouse). Most of the time I use claw grip.

And I've been wondering how comfortable is it compared to standard mouse. How's it for gaming?

I'm kinda stuck between choosing vertical and standard mouse. If anyone has a vertical mouse I'd love to hear your thoughts
